I hope that the Devs read this and other reviews. This is a super idea, for a game. The cinematics are top. The music, ok, but needs more variety. I will be retesting this every time that a new, major update is added. But issues at the present moment are numerous. For an RPG, immersion in the game world is, to my mind, essential. Creating a character, but then having a different portrait at the bottom of the screen is annoying. Then the party, once together, always run around together, Please allow players to choose who is leading and who is in the party. Then the quests, too many of them fail to register if you fail to do them in the required (by the game code) order. Add to that that NPCs, once encountered cannot be approached a 2nd time. I understand that the game needs to get the player to a certain point, but give the players greater choice in how they get there. Then game mechanics. Pickpocketing, is a nice mini game. but there are no consequences if you fail the first skill check, and if you get greedy whilst pocketing, you just don't get the goods. Than there is inventory. Please allow sorting of the inventory. Please give a tooltip to explain why character A cannot wear jacket B. Or just let us try them all. Fights, almost always the wrong character is in the wrong place, because I cannot control them per character. Then it is not clear, to me at least, what is the point of the reaction options, I never got them to work. And there seems to be little, if any, options to avoid fights. So the story needs to give us more freedom to play the way we want. We want to get to the end, it is after all a fascinating story, and a glorious world. But more attention needs to be paid on the gameplay rather that the visuals at this point.

This game has so much potential and I am eager to see it in its completed form! At the moment there are a few performance issues, but it's early access, not a full release title. Pros: - story is engaging - humour got some genuine chuckles out of me. - There's choice, you can be a horrible person if you want to be Cons: - some of the story feels as though it needs fleshing out(again, its an early access game) - little bugs, for example, Mick, the giant companion sometimes gets stuck in doorways. This can be fixed by exiting or entering a building which refreshes his sprite. Overall, its enjoyable and worth a look at.

It's a good start. I don't know if I should recommend buying it rn. It will definitely be worth it, and it is really cheap rn so it could be a good idea to buy it now to support devs and play it in a few months + Story and setting are good. Reminds a lot of Arcanum, but modernised + Graphics are nice for that kind of games. Not incredible, but nice. + Magic vs Technology bar depending on your actions in a region, affecting the strength of one or the other is a cool concept - As of right now, there's a lot of lag in some areas. I also encountered quite a lot of regular freezes that break the momentum - Combat and leveling up are meh. Combat is not punishing your errors, when the fight is over you go back to full health. They are also quite repetitive as you end up doing pretty much the same moves independently of the environment or the ennemy. If you played Arcanum and always wanted a more modern version of that setting, look no further. I would advise to not play it right now though, as it really requires some optimization and content (I finished the currently available content in a bit over 8 hours). If you like turn based rpg this is a good title to keep an eye on. I'd like to recommend to not buy it right away and wait for updates, but the game is really cheap and it will support the devs so we can see better results, so if you are interested in it I highly recommend to buy now

It's a Steampunk RPG. ... what? You need more? It's a GOOD steampunk RPG. Yes, it's technically creaky (it's called early access), the voice acting is hit or miss, the game loves its fetch quests, however: the world building is top tier, the visuals fantastic, the combat lots of fun, the story is great and the companions lovely. More importantly, for all the jank, the game is full of heart and originality. In a RPG world dominated by Lord of the Rings and Grimdark knock offs, that counts for something.

Looks promising so far, fair warning to any buyers, tis just an Act 1 at the moment, only two races, only 2 classes to choose from, developers proclaim the product to be shelfready within a year or so. As for the game itself, built in Unreal engine, some stuttering and poor optimisation teething problems, competently written, at least the bits I've seen so far, It attempts a decent strike at Guy Ritchie's take on the Victorian era + magic steampunk setting. Wish it was complete, it isn't hence the full review will need to wait till I've played some more. RP system appears to be well integrated if somewhat clunky, what I found endearing was the addition of environmental bonuses to skillchecks, say you come up to a dock working policeman that keeps complaining about how long his shift is, and within the interaction with said policeman you need to perform a sleight of hand check, the +20 chance of success due to "tiredness" shows up on the Difficulty rating, charming, clearly inspired by the previous great cRPs. TL:DR; Unfinished but oh so promising.
