If you played the original Flash game like I did, you will love this. So far, this game has taken me down memory lane back to when I was in 3rd grade. When I had the opportunity at lunch to go to the library and use the computers, when Flash games were popular back then. I would always find myself coming back to this little game called Coma, a game that I could never understand the full story probably because I was too young. I recently played the original flash game on another website, that's when I found out that the developer had created Neversong, which was a direct remake of that original game. I'm in university now, but I knew I had to get this game. I haven't finished it yet, but so many lovely characters have made a return, as well as familiar locations and music. I'm really enjoying the game and I would sooooooo recommend it even if you didn't play the original.

This game frustrated me. Along with the story you want to know, the talented visuals, the very beautiful music and voice acting, we are faced with the "programming miracles" of this game. Bugs where you get stuck in unexpected location places and can't do anything about it. The weird ability to confirm via space instead of enter (and no control selection to change it). If it was a fresh game from an unknown developer, I would raise the topic in the community hub and report some bugs... But I go to the community and see that people have already done this many times. Come on, the game came out 4 years ago and it could be even better! Also, it is impossible to ignore the fact that there are many places in the game where you are forced to wait an unconditionally long time to perform some action. This is somewhat annoying while you are playing, I started playing the game in 2021 and abandoned it precisely because of this. However, this is the case when cool animation, music, voice acting and plot overcome shortcomings. But be prepared for bugs, so be patient.

I loved this game with its creepy vibe, mixing eerie visuals and goofy immature humor that made me laugh. The story’s short, which is great if you’re an adult looking to actually finish a game. It’s simple, memorable, and perfect for a quick, fun gaming session. Highly recommend Neversong.

So, I bought it as a cozy platformer and really tried to liked this game. But after 8 hour of playtime I realized that the strongest part of this game is the story at the end. A little bit too long to wait in fact. Got it with discount, so it's ok.

If you're a fan of Thomas Brush you know what to expect and this game delivers. It is not ground breaking in terms of story or mechanics but it is well put together and absolutely worth the money if you like these types of games. I've played it through multiple times (on Nintendo Switch).
