(Kinda silly really.) ⭐️ The VR experience is brilliant! THE UNIQUES: πŸ’Ž VR is a must here! πŸ’Ž Learning about new fears. PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS: πŸ’Ό Indie. πŸ’Ό Psychological Horror. πŸ’Ό Puzzles. PROS: + It really gives you a good idea on how some people feel around you and just because you don't suffer from these traumas, doesn't mean they don't either. + It's original! Searching through someones trauma and solving the root of the problem, I've never experienced a game quite like this before. + How the mood can change while you're inside someones head, it's pretty sinister and I felt the horrors inside of them. + The puzzles are very creative in a messed up kinda way. CONS: - The controls aren't the best, it's definitely recommend to play on keyboard & mouse or in VR. - You're set to one speed, and that speed is pretty darn slow, this might be for the VR users but surely having the option to run wouldn't hurt. - I wouldn't class this as a horror, not once did I have any sense of fear, maybe this is because I don't have any of these traumas but i'm leaning more towards that they failed to make this scary, but again, this might be different in VR. VERDICT: I'm a HUGE horror fanatic, I've had my rounds of scary and this doesn't even hit my top 20, that's not me discrediting the devs. I enjoyed what the game offers, even if the content is lacking, there's only 4 patients to help and they can be finished in 1.5hrs which is no time at all. The angle is probably better if played in the VR world but from a controller/keyboard & mouse player. The patients can be finished quickly with not much else to do afterwards. Again, I enjoyed my run and felt like they got the traumas spot on from what I've researched, there's a new+ which allows you to go back into the patients head to find items that relate to their fears but honestly, it's not worth experiencing a second time. It worth it's asking price and if they add more content i'd definitely change my score. Total Score = 58/100. GAMEPLAY: The players takes over the role of an expert that was recently hired by the Neurostalgia Institute to treat their patients in a mind jacking process known as neuroprobing. Every patient there suffers from a form of repressed mental trauma. In order to help them resolve their issues, the player performs neuroprobing to obtain the recollections of the repressed memories so that the trauma can be cured. By advancing through and being nearer to the goal, things around the player change in hostile ways as their minds fight back β– β– β– β– β– β–‘β–‘β–‘β–‘β–‘ 5 / 10 The 4th patient definitely disturbed me the most. RECOMMEDED SPECS: OS: Windows 8 or better Processor: i7 Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce GTX 750 TI Storage: 5 GB available space
