If you like the first game, then you would love it But I do recommend buy it on sale Thanks to the number of new things developers try out that is fun while being frustrating at the same time much like the first game

Melee combat feels awful, hitboxes are probably inconsistent, random objects can send you flying, your rockets have massive knockback on enemies but it appears that they actually pull the player character towards the explosion or at least downwards, you can get stuck on, in (?), next to and possibly under(?) enemies and some bossfights seem to involve quite a lot of luck. Despite this (or, in some situations, because of this) I have had more fun with this janky trainwreck than with most other singleplayer games I've played. This, just like the main game, is a perfect storm of strange, sometimes ambitious ideas, bugs and likely many compromises in the developement and writing process. The clash between gameplay and story, as well as tonal clashes within the story, are a sight to behold. There were several instances where it felt like the comedic timing was intended, but more moments where it felt too good for anyone to come up with on purpose. This game might not be for everyone, but I'm sure some people with a similar sense of humor will have a blast. 10/10 Also I'm pretty sure adding "+dx9" in the launch options makes both games run better under windows 10. The game didn't crash once.

6.5/10 While still flawed, its a solid improvement over the original. Unlike the first game, it stays in world war 1, up until the last 2 levels, the last of which is just a boss fight. So if you were baited into the original by the wolfenstein in ww1 setting, this game will actually give you that. Better yet, while the main charater will run his yap during story sequences, he doesn't constantly quip like Simon did. The writing is still pretty cheesy though. Also had less game breaking bugs that the first, so that's a plus. For its price, I do think its worth giving this game a chance, even if you were turned off by the original.

Bought this on sale for like $1.50, didnt have high expectations. It is kinda buggy, and crashes sometimes, corrupted saves etc. BUT the game is unique and interesting, its engaging and challenging and the levels are fun. The movement and shooting is satisfying and the overall game flows really well. I finished it all in one sitting, its super short. Technical aspects aside, I was having so much fun I wish there was more. If you like boomer shooters, this game is solid.

While in 90% of aspects this game is an improvement on the first Necrovision, this game also made me start from the beginning, and the last boss is some bullshit. Its still whatever in the hell this duology is. Its all right. You can get this plus the og for a little over a dollar on sale. I think if there ever was a Necrovision 3, it would have been a very good game, based on the progress of this game. Makes me want to do something with the IP. I think its under utilized.
