It takes everything you liked about Necrosmith 1 and adds more. More species! More combinations! More things to collect and unlock after each run! More worlds to play on! More mass! (...in the form of big honkin' titans that you craft to wreak unholy havoc on anything that dares oppose you) Worth buying.

It'll steal your heart... to make an undead flesh abomination. It might just want you for your body, but it has the most interesting skeletons in the closet. Oh, and the necromancer has conversations with his pet cat. Really though it's actually a lot of fun, starts off easy but the moment you get to the second level the difficulty spikes and becomes a challenge. Very enjoyable, and it promotes recycling... of bodies.

Unlike the clutterded mess that was the first Necrosmith I can actually recommend the sequel. It's simple, fun, more balanced and way more streamlined. Visual style is more interesting and body swap options are way more crazy. Too bad PR for this game was non-existent and I've found out about the sequel out of the blue thanks to Steam algorithms. It's a nice little gem with a Steam Deck support (though I don't have time on my hands to test it now), solid buy.

Incredible game, hyrbid God Game with some Strategy & Roguelite elements. Wish there was more games like this, was definitely worth the price. Yes, could do with some QOL improvements (like dragging on the minimap to smoothly move, or having icons for enemy spawners/bases, and for showing which unit you have selected on the minimap), and the AI for defending is sometimes great and sometimes stupidly rudimentary - simple battle strategies like spreading out to avoid AoE abilities, etc, there's no real way to manually do this or give the order. Having said this negative stuff: these are really just ideas for the developer and not pertinent complaints. I loved this game and would gladly pay for more content like this or for this. I'm only throwing stuff out there because, well, vested-interest. There's barely any games like this on the market, so I'm inclined and incentivised to provide anything that'd make this game better than it already is, or for future products similar to this. Great game, strongly recommend if you loved Majesty or any similar GodGame Strategy titles.

Necrosmith 2, the rogue-lite game where death is woven into the very fabric of the experience. Highly recommended! Necrosmith 2 skillfully expands upon its predecessor, and the inclusion of Titans adds an exciting twist. Assembling various parts in a Dr. Frankenstein-esque manner to resurrect the deceased is still an absolute delight. A truly enjoyable rogue-lite gaming experience!
