Very short boss rush game. It has 2 things. Boss fights obviously (x6) and challenges (x6) that are either a run through an obstacle course or fighting rooms of enemies. + The combat system doesn't revolutionize anything but it does the job very well. It has some depth and its engaging. + Well Designed boss fight + A module system. They provide bonuses, some of the with an impact on gameplay and as the game progress you can install more of them. + Fast paced and controls are very responsive - Aiming or to be precise, the auto aim is a bit broken and would need some work - The story feels like a filler Overall it's short but intense and a lot of fun It reminded me a little of another great boss rush game: Eldest Souls 7/10

NanoApostle is an incredibly fun and short little game. After the first boss fight I knew that this game had me hooked and I'd be playing it through to completion. The whole premise of the game is simple since it's just back-to-back boss fights. This game's combat is extremely fluid and has a surprising amount of depth to it. The amount of different playstyles the combat system can lend itself to is shocking, whether that be charging up to deal massive chunks of damage, or zipping around and slashing repeatedly, slowly chipping away at a boss' health bar. Even after 100%ing the game, doing every single boss hitless and experiencing everything the game has to offer, I can safely say that the combat never got boring or repetitive due to how different each boss was. Each boss feels completely different to the last, with some specialising in rushing you down, other playing entirely at range, some requiring you to dodge most attacks, while others needing you to constantly execute perfect parries. Each boss tested your knowledge and execution of each of the games mechanics, ultimately converging in one climactic final boss that will definitely test your abilities. The story as well is also a nice selling point of the game. For how short the game is and how combat-oriented the game is, the story is still really good. The relationship between Anita and Wenny is a constant back-and-forth of emotions that will honestly tug at your heartstrings, and the mystery behind who Anita actually is the flashbacks adding to this mystery. And then the big reveal and curveball from left field in the end is definitely an unexpected one. Despite being so short, I got invested in these characters and cried a bit at the ending. NanoApostle is an incredible game that is definitely worth the purchase. It'll give you hours of fun gameplay and a great story, as well as an incredible soundtrack, with the final boss theme especially one you'll be in awe of. It's well worth the price and you won't regret the purchase. Even after fully completing the game, I already want to play more and will definitely be coming back to the game and replaying it in the future. Well worth the purchase, so if you're even considering it, take my word and buy NanoApostle, you won't regret it.

Best boss rush I've played. Intuitive and satisfying combat. Great boss designs too, all unique to their own. A nice short story to boot. Gud shit. Banger ost, art, and sound design. What more can a man ask for. It shows that I only played for 0.5 hrs, but I played a good 9 hrs.

Fun game, I ended up playing for almost 5 hours straight and beating it in one go without realising. I wish it was a bit longer. There are a bunch of challenges I still haven't completed but they seem very tedious so I don't think I will. I'm not exactly sure if it's worth the $26 CDN, I would have preferred a price tag more like $15-$20 for 4.6 hours of gameplay, but the story was really nice and the gameplay was mostly good. Last boss ended up just being a spam block to win, but a lot of the earlier bosses really make nice use of the parry and grappling system. Also the story seems to be inspired by 86 or at least draws inspiration from it, as well as a little bit of AC6. Good game, would definitely recommend getting it on sale.

It's a solid boss rush game, not on the quality of Furi but it had well crafted bosses, pretty unique from one another. I didn't engage much with the side training missions, they felt a little out of place for a boss rush game, I didn't have any interest in them. There are skills which allow you to build differently, it felt pretty overpowered in the sense that I didn't master the bosses to a high level to beat them, my dps just felt high. I do appreciate the different options though to tackle the bosses in a slightly different way gameplay wise. It took me around 3 hours to beat with a lil afk time, I think the price tag is fair considering you can get multiple more hours out of the game with completing all of the challenges and mastering the bosses to perfection. I recommend it to anyone who enjoy boss rush games.
