N++ is probably the best platformer ever made. The physics are very well-tuned, and feel fair and interesting even after hundreds of hours of gameplay The visuals are slick, understandable, and complement the minimalist design of the game. The music also acts as very nice background noise to the game and can be listened to for a very long time while zoning out to the game. But, the biggest selling point of the game is its level design. The game has thousands of levels, ranging from easy to almost impossible, and somehow, a supermajority of them are good (with each player probably disliking a few due to their preferences). They cause the game to be a constant stream of learning and improvement, until eventually you can do what previously took hours, in a matter of just a few attempts. They feature many different aspects: Routing, precision, improvisation, speed. The levels take the features of the game to their extremes, the game leaves no stone unturned, leading the final levels to be some of the most interesting levels i've ever played. Overall, it's a fantastic experience if you have any interest in platformers.

If you played the original, this one has taken everything that made it good and made it better. Also, most of the BG music is absolutely good. I'd love a release of the soundtrack and would buy.

One of the best games ever made. Total commitment to a very small set of gameplay mechanics, extrapolated over thousands of levels and hundreds of hours of gameplay. Unbelievable depth which it reveals at its own glacial pace. Utter rigour and precision in its design. The OST is divinely chosen. Feels like an artefact from a different, better world. You can play this title for the rest of your life, and I say that without hyperbole.

Difficulty: ( 10/10 ) Harder than Souls series. My fingers hurt. It's not your average platformer. Musics: ( 8.5/10 ) Better music than some rhtym games I've played. Gameplay: ( 11/10 ) ( The Final Boss ) Easily the smoothest mechanics ever. Makes Sekiro feel clunky. Content: ( 10/10 ) Is it even possible to finish? You'll need more than 500 hours just just for the base levels and there are custom mades and leaderboards and co-op... Graphics: ( 8/10 ) Simple and amazing. Would love to see some lines, shapes etc on background though. Other Positives: + Nostalgia + Community + Cool Colors + Cheap Negatives: - My index finger literally hurts and I'm kinda worried about it - None

disable steam cloud, back up saves occasionally. there's a save corruption bug. actual review follows: N++ is the greatest platformer I've ever played, and that's coming from someone who gravitates towards platformers. If you're looking for great storytelling, art, or music, this game is not for you. But the gameplay? Well, I'm over 1300 hours into my more-or-less casual playthrough of N++ as I write this, and I'm still having a ton of fun. Most players will play a couple hundred levels, and then drop the game, an experience which I still think is well worth it. (Especially since N++ is often heavily discounted during sales!) The truly dedicated will complete a full levelset or more, and perhaps try to collect most of the gold in the game. The nature of N++ is that as long as you're still enjoying the game, there will be more levels to play, gold to collect, or challenges to overcome. If you played N back when it was a flash game, know that the controls and level design have improved considerably. If you're turned off by the extremely simplistic style, know that it's to reduce visual noise, so that the gameplay is even better. And if you've heard of N++ only as a difficult platformer, know that there are hundreds of levels in the game which are approachable even to a novice. I seriously cannot recommend N++ enough, and I think anyone who enjoys platformers owes it to themself to give this game a shot.
