Don't expect an Open World My Little Pony game written by Cormac McCarthy and directed by the Cohen Brothers with an engine like Rockstar or Bandai Namco. But it's an ok game.

The game is fun and I love the story it tells which is lore appropriate and there are no creative liberties that I can take note of that would conflict with the MLP G5 series. The only gripe with the game I have is that the controls weren't good and a bit frustrating to learn but I did eventually get use to them.

It's a really cool, fun game. But there should be more history with the original series, it would be very interesting in terms of history and other types of missions and minigames, I recommend buying it. But there's little, I hope there's more content in the future, the game is really cool.

Let me preface this by saying I am not the intended demographic for this game! Playtime for 100% completion: ~109 minutes MY LITTLE PONY: A Maretime Bay Adventure is a cute little (emphasis on little) light-hearted game where you take control of Sunny Starscout, and help prepare the Maretime Bay Day festival. This game takes place shortly after the initial Movie so as to be expected, there's no appearances by Misty Brightdawn or Opaline. The gameplay is very simple; it mostly consists of exploring Maretime Bay, "fetch-quests" where you usually run an errand for a friend, and minigamess; all tied together by fully-voiced cutscenes featuring the Generation 5 characters. The graphics themselves are very visually appealing, and the voice acting is good. I can only recall a single instance or two of questionable audio balancing. My biggest criticism is that there just isn't a lot here for the asking price, and because the game design is linear, there isn't really any replay value. But I'm completely willing to overlook such things as it's clear this game's intended audience is much younger than I am. I took just under 2 hours to reach 100% completion (all tasks done, all unlockable outfits, and all achievements). Even on discount for 50% off, I'd still say the asking price is a bit steep if you're as quick as I was to complete the game. It's possible younger players may take longer to explore everything there is to offer, but I'd recommend only picking this up if you're a big fan, and / or see it for a comfortable price.

I 100%ed the achievements so fast I could still refund it if I wanted to. I turned my brain off for 2 hours and played the funny pony game and I remember literally none of it 10/10
