I am a Graphic Arts teacher and I love showing virtual reality to my students on Fridays as I am a public school teacher currently in full-time remote. I stream to my students via Zoom my Quest 2 which is hooked up to my laptop and take them on a virtual reality Museum of Other Realities field trip. We enter the OFFLINE museum to avoid any social aspects as I cannot control what other people say during class (thank you for making this an option). We start in the museum startup and I have them shout out how I should make my avatar (first one I hear wins). Then I show them all the beginning museum features like floating in an exhibit, getting to the map, painting, getting larger & smaller drinks, taking selfies, etc. I give them a walkthrough with the first floor going to the exhibits that are cool for school (we avoided "How Was Your Day?" animation movie [language & weapon], "Alex's Sci-Fi World" , "Neo-Hanuka" (scary), "Ghouls" & "Skeletons" [scary, dress code]. I can't emphasize this enough, I loved all the exhibits in MOR (Museum of Other Realities). DISCLAIMER: please make sure you go through MOR before showing your class to learn all the cool features and so you can decipher what is age-appropriate. I really love all the features and innovation behind this museum. The recorded interviews and artist statements are really awesome. I would love to see some more animation movies about the process of these created works i.e. a time-lapse with an interview. After going through the first floor I let my middle school students choose (shout out via Zoom) the next exhibits minus the ones listed as no-go. The map feature really helps and I love that I can point my joystick up and get to and from the map. Your app is super user-friendly and I hope you update with more exhibits! Definitely worth the download and my students really enjoy this as a virtual reality field trip.

Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality You can view my gameplay & initial impressions review here: https://youtu.be/JlzExhSIbHc This is a VR art museum. I was originally scared off by the 96 GB download prompt, but it's only 2 GB (it can be up to 96 GB with the free DLC included). It has full locomotion or teleportation, plus snap turning. The art exhibits are amazing. It has nice social features as well. I could write more about this experience, but I pretty much only need to say the following: I downloaded this app during the free to play week not knowing exactly what to expect. I decided to buy this app at full price. That's how much I liked it. I really enjoyed several of the art exhibits. I think you should at least download the app during the free to play week and experience it for yourself. To me, it's the premiere VR art gallery. So it's worth full price. Enough said. Rate 8/10. p.s. My only criticisms are that I wish the music/ sounds were better. Also, I do wish we had faster full locomotion / flying and smooth turning available. Plus more settings available.

Let me do this as a comparison, because this is unlike any "game" I have seen. It truly is an experience. If you were to go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the admission cost is $20.00 for a two-day ticket. If you were to go to the Louvre it is about €17, or $20.00. If you were to go to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the admission price is $25.00. Why am I comparing the price of this product like that? Because essentially the cost shown is the ticket price for a chance to visit what truly is a legitimate museum in this product (but with the added bonus of permanent admission). The art installations featured are incredible to say the least. I have been to museums in Europe and throughout the Eastern Coast of the United States, and honestly, this can easily hold its own as being like one of those museums. When you first start, you essentially spawn in at an entrance into either a solo or multiplayer experience (normally when you go to a museum, it's a group experience, and you can interpret things differently). From there, you descend into a lobby where you are introduced to an avatar, and an explanation for how the museum works. Looking around, it actually feels as if you are there in a museum. You will notice a map on the floor with an actual layout to a museum (part of the interior reminded me of a hybrid between the Tate Modern in London, and the National Gallery of Art (East Building) in Washington DC). From there, you are given the opportunity to teleport to exhibits in the museum, or can walk around. And if you choose to walk around, it is an adventure to say the least. The exhibits are mind boggling. In the course of the experience I had at the time of writing this, I would have continued but for the fact my controllers had run out of battery for the evening. I was able to work my way through around 1/4 of the museum, but in that time, the thing that stood out to me was the interactiveness and the sheer genius of the programming in this place. I saw interactive exhibits featuring the use of sound and voice, and I saw multiple exhibits breaking any sense of what it meant to be 3D. There were doorways, essentially like see-through portals that you can walk into, move around, and see exhibits grow. There were exhibits you can use your controllers to interact with and learn about how they work or were created. In all this time, because of the layout, I honestly forgot where I was, and truly had forgotten what reality meant in the world of art. This was a truly awesome experience, and I understand that the museum updates and grows. I am looking forward to what it brings, and can definitely say for someone wanting to have a VR experience, this is a must have.

I've tried every VR art gallery app there is thus far, and this is definitely my favorite. Where others have used VR to create conventional gallery spaces for traditional work (not a bad thing, by any means), the MoOR shines by creating a conventional gallery space for art native to virtual reality (and if you follow the VR scene like myself, you'll recognize some big names that already have work in here). Portals to warehouse scale sculptural installations, motion-responsive-fractal ceiling hallways, head-position-responsive sound installations; these are all things nearly impossible IRL that I've wanted to experience in an art space for a very long time. In addition, the UI and controls are all straight forward, intuitive, and streamlined. You're not restricted to teleportation or locomotion, but given options, and recent additions allow for gestural-picture-taking. I'm looking forward to the rotation of new pieces that will be happening monthly!

I've never written a Review before but I highly recommend this "game". I have no clue about art but this first exhibit was a blast and I experienced it alone. Can only imagine how fun it would be with others. I realy hope this concept succeeds and I am looking forward to the next month!
