The visual and sound styles of the game create an atmosphere of the 90s, which makes it especially attractive to fans of this period. Gameplay The game offers classic platformer gameplay where the player controls a character named Jack. Jack must go through many levels, collecting bonuses and items that will help him in passing. Various obstacles such as pits, traps and enemies await the player at each level. One of the features of the game is the ability to improve the character, which adds depth and a strategic element to the gameplay. Graphics and sound The graphics of the game are made in the style of retro platformers with bright colors, pixel graphics and simple but detailed animations. This gives the game a special charm and nostalgic mood. The soundtrack is also made in retro style, using sounds and music typical of that time. Review After 100% Achievements Looking for a game with killer fast-paced gameplay where your health is time, and time is always running out? Mullet Mad Jack can definitely scratch that itch, it’s unlike any game I have played before. Climb each floor of a skyscraper building killing robots to keep your dopamine rush alive and seconds on your clock. Battle through handcrafted stages with all types of enemies that aim to destroy you. Clear each floor, pick upgrades and weapons to help get you higher and higher. Boss battles are super sick, music is on another level, and the art style is out of this world. After you complete the campaign, you can play through the game again as a boomer shooter with no timer, play forever in endless mode, or you can up the difficulty by playing in challenge or hard mode to complete all achievements. Really enjoyed beating the game on the higher difficulties where headshots and level memory really makes a difference. The music and art style make this game stand out among the few other titles in this newer genre! So 90's and I was seduced by the synthwave vibe. Normally I like games where I can take my time and look around but this fast paced game is pretty fun. I do fail a lot but I keep trying. Also I really like the purple blood option.
