Relatively short game and very difficult. Very well made and beautiful scenery. All of the complaints are by people not adapting to the game mechanics, expecting it to be a certain way... That defeats the purpose of the game. A+ game. I am stuck on the last boss. Don't expect the devs to "fix the parrying mechanism" just because I can't cut it. Very good game, just short.

This game is weird but I'm enjoying it. The combat is cool and the player movement is fluid, it also has some cool mechanics like harden thing and different shells Is it the best souls-like out there? No Is it a good one and worth trying? Yes, I think so

This one was a near miss. There were elements of it that were really excellent--like, the best out there--but there were some things that felt incomplete. It's like this game got released prematurely, like someone quit before the project was finished, or something. The ambiance and mood/feel is really impressive and imposing. The combat gimmick, the hardening, is pretty cool, and really does create a novel combat dynamic. Very clever. The maps, on the one hand, are more than a bit tedious and remedial. I know it was a lot of work to make them so big, but it really just drew it out and made it boring. And on the other hand, each map has, like, five enemies that you fight over and over again. Having to battle your way back out in the dark after the boss just made that suck more. All that just made it not fun for me, and I had to stop playing it. Despite that, it was worth playing what little I did, experiencing the strange and dark little world they came up with, and I don't regret giving them my patronage. The biggest sin, however, was how much they paid homage to Dark Souls. I say this because I think they really had something going on that stood on its own legs, and I think it would have been better if they'd have emancipated themselves more from someone else's project, however much it might have inspired them. I played Dark Souls--now let me play your game. To the devs: I think you're really talented and should take this farther and go your own way with it. I would LOVE to see more productions from Cold Symmetry--only smaller and polished.

The game as a whole is not as difficult as it might seem, it is quite short and there is little content. Among the advantages are the atmosphere, graphics and mechanics of petrification. Of the cons, there is no end to the content and the world as a whole is small. You can go through it once.

Reading the recent Steam reviews made be a bit sceptical at first. I wanted to play this years ago but it was only available on EpicGames Store. I bought it for 2,5$ and as a Souls veteran I am not disappointed. Give it a shot and be patient while learning its mechanics. The map is where I see a lot of complains from players struggling to understand their position on it and not knowing where to go, getting lost, etc is just a central hub that connects the 3 temples that you need to clear to progress. Really didn't expect to like this game this much, its spot on with its dark atmosphere. Looking forward for a new title. Cheers
