This is a really cute platformer game! If you're looking for some time to kill I definitely recommend it. Moonleap has pretty graphics and creates a nice atmosphere. I will admit that sometimes the music can get a little repetitive when I'm working on a level for a while, but all in all it's a great game.

Moonleap is a simple, yet creative and fun puzzle platformer that any fan of the genre should pick up. While the general formula remained constant throughout the duration of the game (collect flowers, avoid spikes and hazard pits), the mechanisms by which interaction with the various levels occurred varied significantly as the game went on. This allowed the game to stay fresh and exciting, rather than growing stale. Moonleap has two components: a hub world that holds all of the level entrances, and the levels themselves. There are 64 levels in total and each level is a single-screen puzzle. Moonleap nailed its difficulty. I was able to clear every level without a guide and that achievement was very satisfying. However, your performances in each level are also graded, and I was unable to get S rank on more than about half of the levels on my own. I also found the methods by which you can unlock guest/alternate characters to be more occlusive than I was able to decipher on my own. So overall, if you're like me and not a puzzle master, you can beat the game and get that satisfaction, but there are deeper and more complex puzzles for higher-level players as well. Overall, I found Moonleap to be a very neat concept that was executed brilliantly. Fans of puzzle platformers will be missing out if they don't give this game a go, and I think the broad accessibility to players of varying skill levels makes this a game that nearly anyone can pick up and have a fun time with.

Great little puzzle platformer that shouldn't take you more than 3 hours to fully complete, but that is dense enough to make those 3 hours very worth your while.

I bought Moonleap because of the demo. And I downloaded the demo because of the art. The pixel-perfect, Kirby-inspired stars-and-clouds aesthetic looks great. And the simple mechanics help the game maintain focus on its platforming puzzles throughout its short runtime. If you think this game might be up your alley, try the demo! I had a ton of fun with it and ultimately decided that more levels would be worth the money.
