I played the original flash game and it was good in its time. This one is ok if you have some nostalgia.

I was a big fan of Monster's Den back in the day, so obviously I had to get this too. The best description I saw was that it was like a less hardcore version of Darkest Dungeon, which I think sounds right. There's more customization of characters possible, both with builds and items, and less sanity/stress management.

I chose yes, but I can't go back to town after I start an adventure map, and I can't go back upstairs either. I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but I don't like that at all. Otherwise, seems to be a decent game.

very fun dungeon crawler that's another evolution of a game with Flash game roots. not the biggest fan of Diablo-style loot, but its tolerable. If this was balanced around a 6-member party, would def be more my vibe.

The level progression is pretty good, and while there are a few small things about dungeoneering and overland exploration that don't get mentioned in the tutorial, it overall feels very nice to get around and have some sandbox time. Having to right-click monsters to see their names and stats (save health) is a bit of a hassle. For Book of Dread players, the skill trees are interesting, and Ensorcelled Blade is gone (or secret). You can also fight the bosses from that game!
