Jan. 2025
I originally played the game in 2016 and in 2025 I replayed again, the game still holds up extremely well. I had no issues playing the game, first or second time. I love and grew up mainly playing P&C adventure games and normally I go back to play them if I really like them. Kind of sad it took me so long to come back and replay this game. If you like any of Jane's games, or just a fan of P&C- you might like this one. I recommend it. The game has areas it excels in and areas with flaws. Moebius is yet another game done by Jane Jensen.- The voice acting of course is really good as usual. Plenty of puzzles and world building and a great story to follow and lose yourself, Moebius is no exception. The puzzles are pretty easy, and there's only 1 specific puzzle that's repetitive really. I really liked the story and how it was done, same with any of Jane's games I got immediately sucked in and knew I was going for a ride. I think this game is well worth trying for all the P&C gamers out there that want more to play. When it comes to the characters I really liked the two main characters- Malachi and David. I get why Malachi is the way he is, he's dark, guarded, doesn't trust easily, and can be an absolute prick- then you have David who is the bubbly sunshine to come into picture, break through Malachi's defense and Malachi does lighten up and gets better as the story goes on- Honestly with those two characters put together- their chemistry is fantastic. I adore them. There's a intro comic you can read on the main menu... Which explains more of Kye as a child so it's understandable why he is the way he is. The game does have small bugs, but nothing game breaking that I found. If I go through dialogue once, and I reload the game and go through dialogue again I would fast click and sometimes the game didn't like that, and it would almost 'lag freeze' trying to keep up but that was really it. Sometimes I would click around too fast and get Malachi to tweak out a bit which I found kind of funny. The Cons Graphic wise the only downfalls I saw were how some characters mouths were made when they talked, and some body proportions. The mouths bugged me, but the body proportions I just kind of forgot about it after a bit and it didn't bother me anymore. Some animations can be wonky, but for me it wasn't a big deal. I did notice in a couple of scenes that sometimes the voice is a bit lower. Animation wise, the game isn't perfect, it has it's flaws and can be really wonky. I can understand why it bothers people, is very off putting, and honestly they could've been done better. I just can't give the game a negative review based solely on animations alone though. I can see where people say the game felt rushed, at some points it does- especially the ending, but that's the case with a lot games, where the ending is or feels rushed, but that's nothing new- plenty of games out there with rushed endings. Jane is genuinely a master of her craft and it hurts that she hasn't been able to make more games, they had to unfortunately close Pinkerton Studio in 2016 and she's tried doing some kickstarter stuff for a Gray Matter 2 but to no avail. You can always expect well drawn and gorgeous art from her work, and amazing story telling. Honestly I wish she had so many more games that I could play.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Sharp and concise writing. Strong characters. I laughed often and deeply. Good pace, good length. Great variety of puzzles with intuitive UI. Good graphics with some particularly excellent animation. Mercifully, no traditional Jane Jensen hair-pullingly-frustrating end puzzle. I truly love this game. I will play it again to make different choices and earn the remaining achievements.
