Great for recording or messing around with loops from home. Limited to 16 tracks to be aware. Seen it drop to £10 on sales sometimes. If you want the full experience (more tracks, sub-mixes, melodyne e.t.c.) then look at getting Mixcraft 10.5 Recording or Pro Studio on Acoustica's website.

It's an old school, non-nonsense music recording and audio editing package. It's easy to learn and use yet has the same capabilities as more expensive software. It's great for any level user, whether someone is just starting out or if they need more. It's very powerful.

Beginners I've been using Mixcraft for years and its a great music production tool. Super easy to learn and flexible with what you can do when recording. I'd recommend this version to anyone that wants to get into music production as a great starting point . It's got everything you need, so get stuck in and record some songs! People more experienced with home/studio recording Couple of caveats for those that are a bit more experienced on what to expect. This is Home Studio (i.e the lowest tier of Mixcraft 8). At this price-point you can't complain really, but here's some features and limitations worth knowing BEFORE YOU BUY THIS. *Maximum of Sixteen Tracks (audio and midi combined, can't exceed 16 in total) *Limited automation (can only automate pans and levels) I've also found that with certain guitar suite VSTs it gets mixed up and lowers the gain of the digital amp rather than the level of volume (post gain/out whatever you wanna call it) *No aux/buses. This is a pretty huge one as a lot of people prefer to mix using buses, but you can't do that at all in this version, so be warned. *Only supports 32bit VSTs. This can get annoying as a lot of VSTs are x64 now so you'll be locked out of using them and have to fish around for suitable VSTs that it will recognise. If these limitations bother you then it's not worth picking this up. I believe that the Steam version won't let you upgrade (it's just locked into the home studio version), so if you like the look of Mixcraft to use as a DAW check out the higher tier versions (i.e recording/pro) as they don't have these limitations as well as more features and plug-ins.

This is an Amazing software. It is worth The low price Tag (I think its low, I just forgot the price tag bla bla), This is one of the best audio software I've probably came across. The Only bad thing about this software is because I Bought the steam version, the reason why that's bad is because I have to open steam in order to run this program. I don't know how to fix that, But maybe there's a better way to fix it. Overall, This is a great software, Audio Library, FreeSounds access, Powerful features, ETC.
