Very fun game. However, they seem to have left it unfinished. Still loads of fun to get into for a while, just can't play all the characters they intended to release (5 out of 7 are in the game, I believe). Could be a little better at explaining how things work, but it's not so confusing that you don't eventually figure it out on your own. Has a lot of potential to be a GREAT game instead of a GOOD one. Hope they come back to it and give some more polish/content.

I like this game and how it combined crafting(cooking, alchemy, and etc.) and medroidvania style together. Almost like playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night but with crafting, and tiny bits of Farm farming. Minus: -With a controller attack doesn't respond fast enough and been delayed. I get unnecessarily damage just because character doesn't attack in time when I push attack button and sometimes doesn't attack at all. What I hope for future: - Atleast weapon change everytime you change to other weapon so you can see your process visually and when there is a different weapons it could change animation for how you attack. For Ninn weapon is bit difficult but you can change a color of orb or aura or put wand in her waist that changes it visual depends on weapon. -You can change character color, cause if there is more than one same character in game it would confuse a bit. -Add Martial art/Monk like character cause "Everybody was kung fu fighting!" (But seriously I like Monk like characters.)

The game had a very rough start, but since the 0.9 update the team has been very active and in decent communication with us, and their recent efforts have really turned the game around. There remains a lot to finish, but lots of progress is being made Current as of November 2021

Before my actual review, I'd like to add that I've been on their discord server since january, following the progress over the last few months. At the start, all communication was mostly via a community manager who kept us up to speed, which boiled down to "the team is working hard to to get the game out as soon as possible". After seeing the game's release date delayed a few times, that could get pretty frustrating, but in hindsight I do totally understand. The game had been done and ready for release, they implented a traditional ip/port connection method for multiplayer but then had to implement the steam system aswell. This caused loads of unforeseen bugs, which set them back dramatically. Considering the team consists of a lead director/developer and 2 coders who actually write the codes, this will take time. After the game released on steam, the communication on discord improved 200% and basically all the members of the team, including artists who made the artwork and such are active and answer all questions you have as soon as they can ( which is usually a matter of seconds or minutes ). It's very obvious this is a project they passionately pursue to get it finished and complete. They are open to any feedback from the community and if within reason and well argumented, they will definately implement it in the game! When the game released, there were some annoying bugs, which you will probably be able to read about in the reviews from ppl that have played 10 minutes so I don't feel the need to go into those. What I will add is that they fixed basically ALL of those bugs within the first patch which cames HOURS after that ( instead of days and/or weeks like the big gaming companies with hundreds of employees usually take ). Within 2 days they released 3 patches, which came with loads of hotfixes, QoL improvements and even some added content with a lot of feedback from the community, which I think is pretty awesome. For my actual review: Considering the game is a work in progress and not finished, my review is subject to change following the developments of the game. The game's concept is pretty simple, you start off spawning next to a blue crystal and your sole purpose is to protect that crystal from being destroyed. If the crystal is destroyed, the game is over. The crystal you need to protect resides in a base, which offers the options to store stuff you find, craft new gear or food and you can upgrade it to some degree to protect your crystal. The building at this moment is limited to upgrading your gates, but will be expanded on in the future. To help protect your base, you can also find NPC's scattered throughout the world. They will mostly fight enemies, but also offer you the chance to sell excess resources and/or gear to. Each individual NPC you find also sells various things you can buy. You start out by selecting 1 of 5 classes, which consist of 2 melee characters, a hunter like character using bow and arrow and 2 caster characters. All characters have their own abilities and they all feel varied and fun to play. There have allready been some massive balance updates to equalise the starting strength of the characters and to make sure they are all viable while yet each remaining unique in playstyle. You can gather/cut trees/mine ores or kill enemies to get resources, which will enable you to craft better gear. Gear improves your stats and thus your defense, offence or your gathering strength/speed. While the game is enjoyable solo, it shines mostly when you play with friends. You will quickly see that the characters abilities have nice synergies together and farming materials will become a lot easier when you're not fighting alone. Overall the gameplay loop is very enjoyable, but like I said there is still a lot to be added to make it into a complete game. Yet i have faith in it becoming one hell of a game, the community is very active and positive in regards to getting the game where it needs to be and the developers seem motivated to make this into a true indie diamond that will grace any hoarders collection and bring joy in the process. Even though the game is not finished, it will definately give you good content for a fair price, especially when more content will be added in the future!

I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to put something here to those who are seeing the 'mostly negative' score and wondering WTF happened. Okay, so the game released in basically an Alpha state, however two updates were released within hours of the initial release that fixed some of the more common bugs (Invincible trees, etc.) and the developers are active and listening on their discord channel. I'm giving this game a positive review based on the attitude of the developers and not on the current state of the game. I think that if the development continues in the direction it's currently headed, many of the problems that are in the early reviews will be fixed. As it stands, I would say that this recomendation is as follows: If you're looking for a polished gameplay experience keep this on your wishlist and check for updates as they come. If you want to help bugtest and polish a game in it's infancy, buy the game, join the discord and give the developers constructive feedback, because they seem to be listening. UPDATE: As of the time of this update, the game is now at version 0.0.3. I have created a beginners guide for anyone who is having trouble understanding how to play the game, and it can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2113188241 If you are getting frustrated with the game, please read this guide before you post your review, just to make sure you haven't just missed something important. Thanks again!
