Quite fun, albeit, pretty short and simple. I enjoyed the plot and the characters to it, even if there wasn't a ton, and the gameplay while on the simple side I found to be pretty fun? Not the hardest game, nor the most in depth, but I feel for a simple 4 to 5 hour metroidvania, it's perfectly fine. Maybe a bit pricey for the length and amount of stuff to do, but it's still a pretty good time I'd say. Just, maybe get it on sale? But I will say, the soundtrack was the best part. Soundtrack and art style.

If you’ve played Momodora, you’ll find yourself on relatively familiar ground. Minoria feels like a clear evolution of what came before, keeping many of the same ideas while refining them into a more polished experience. I really liked the art direction. It doesn’t have that generic “Unity-made” look that a lot of indie games fall into. The music is also pretty nice and pleasant throughout. The combat is very similar to Momodora, with skills or healing abilities that you can equip, plus two passive charm slots that give you stats or other bonuses while equipped. I would’ve liked to have three slots for effects, as well as a few more upgrades for the healing system, but overall, the gameplay works well. The story is generic, but that doesn’t make it a bad Metroidvania. It’s relatively short, and the difficulty is definitely above average. If you’ve played Ender Lilies or Ender Magnolia, you probably know exactly what I mean. It’s challenging without being completely unreasonable. Don’t expect Minoria to revolutionize the genre—it absolutely doesn’t. What it does, however, is deliver a solid, fun, and challenging Metroidvania experience. Give it a shot. You’ll get around 5–6 hours of gameplay on a casual playthrough, and there are two endings. The downside is that getting the other ending means replaying the game, which can feel a little tedious. The postgame also adds a couple of extra things to do such as a enemies rush + final boss fight, which is a nice bonus. Recommended! Recomendado!

Really basic metroidavania, shallow story, but fun for about eight hours, learn the dodge/ parry curve and it will be accessible.

Very much a "decent" game. Combat's fun and the art and atmosphere are good. It often teeters on mediocrity, but with its short runtime it doesn't overstay its welcome and finishes as a worthwhile experience.

I got Minoria because someone on Reddit said that this was a 'slept on Metroidvania'. Although I now disagree with that statement, it's still a relatively fun short Metroidvania that was relatively simple to 100% complete. I'm going to use it to get my family further into Metroidvanias with the goal of getting them to complete the Hollow Knight games. Overall, it's fun, a bit of a slow start, but once you get all the movement abilities you feel more free. It is funny to find out that cat pouncing everywhere is the fastest way to move.... It's worth the price when it's on sale, so grab it on discount if you can. Don your nun outfit for a day and slay some witches! 6.5/10
