It's not quite as much fun as Steamworld Dig 2, but it will do until SWD3 comes out! Really though, this is a fun digging game, and the price is right. Definitely worth picking up if you like this genre and pixel graphics.

THIS GAME WILL FULFILL YOUR CHILDHOOD DREAMS! Top tier game for $3. I was flooded with childhood memories of playing MotherLoad on Miniclip. All I ever wanted back then was multiplayer to party up with friends, this game supports up to 8 players! I've come back again and again whenever another friend picks it up and I have fun every single time. I'm a big fan of the minor improvements made in the DLC. Fewer mech upgrades makes each new mech feel more impactful and you don't end up skipping any of them. Grouping the resources into veins makes it more worth it to go a bit out of your way for some pay dirt. To the users saying they had fun but it was too short/small/quick because you were bored after 3 or 5 hours... The game costs $3! It's easily worth that. I'm stoked to see what Delayed Victory does with Super Mining Mechs. Do yourself a favor and Wishlist it! I'll be playing it day one.

I love a good Diggy Down game. Ever since Motherload way back in the Flash days. I've played a good couple of these and this is certainly the best after Motherload. The game play loop is simple but fun. The variety of excavator mechs is interesting. The upgrading process is a little flat but seeing the benefits is always appealing. Looking forward to the next one and I've got a bit more gameplay to squeeze out of this one till then.

Its a solid game, about 6 hours to beat the base game. Looks like another 4 to 100% the Achievements. If you enjoyed Motherload and Super Motherload this is basically the same game with some QOL's and made a bit easier overall.

[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33025671-Missi-the-Achievement-Huntress/] Please see my curator page for more games that are well worth your time Approximate amount of time to 100%: 10h Estimated achievement difficulty: 1/10 Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 Is there a good guide available: For 99% of the game you don't need a guide. I only used [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3077208739] this guide and the comments under it to unlock the missable L33t achievement as soon as possible so it was out of the way and I could enjoy the game without having to worry about missing anything. Multiplayer achievements: No Missable achievements: Semi, the "L33T Master achievement is missable but can be unlocked quite early in the game. Grinding Achievements: Some are a little bit grindy, pick up all the trash and jewelry you can find so that the grind for those to at the end of the game isn't that long. DLC-Only achievements: No Speedrun achievements: No Time-gated achievements: No RNG-achievements: No Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty setting, but there are no enemies Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No Mining Mechs is a relaxing mining game in which you try to find out what is going on underground. I love that it doesn't add any stress factors while still giving you to-do items through quests. The story is a bit thin, but it helps to explain the purpose of mining deeper and deeper. What is most important to keep in mind is that you can only dig down and to the side. You can't dig upwards, and can't dig while you're flying. So it might be useful to make paths sideways before going further down. Just to have an easy way to go to the sides later on. There is a mechanism to connect mines and earn passive income. With money you get from selling gems and the mines you can buy upgrades for your mech or buy other mechs. Personally, I upgraded the mech I started with and after that saved up for the mech with the biggest dirt/gem storage to buy and fully upgrade that one. Another tip I have is to dig down from the point where the pipe for the mines start. By having one path that goes from the surface to the bottom of the mine, you have an easy way to enter and exit the mine after going back to the surface to sell your items and empty your dirt storage. This with still keeping in mind to also regularly mine sideways to have paths that way for when you need gems from around that area. My only complaint in Mining Mechs would be that with the mech with the biggest storage for both gems and dirt... I still had to make so many trips to the surface. Every few minutes I had to go back, and gladly you have a teleport option to go to the surface every few minutes and with the strategy of one big path going straight down it was after finishing the town actions just a matter of jumping down there and waiting till I reached the depth I was working on, it still got a bit annoying. Very very late in the game, this problem gets solved by an extra hub. The achievements are a bit grindy. I highly recommend trying to get enough of a type of ore while working on that area before going further down, that way it isn't that much of a grind anymore at the end of the game. And collect every dirt you see after unlocking the L33t achievement. That achievement requires 7 dirt and more ores, so I would not start collecting the dirt till you get the chance to finish that achievement. I give Mining Mechs 3,5 out of 5 stars.
