A well-crafted and detailed shooter with impressive graphics, based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's captivating novel series. As a teenager, I enjoyed reading Metro 2033, but I only got into the games as an adult. The developers did a great job adapting the source material, with the plot and cutscenes elevating what’s otherwise a fairly simple shooter to a respectable level. It’s also a nice touch to see familiar Moscow landmarks like VDNKh and the Hotel Cosmos , even if they’re set in a post-apocalyptic world. I highly recommend playing on a high difficulty to fully immerse yourself in the survival experience. Thanks to the Ukrainian Games Festival on Steam, I picked up all three titles at a huge discount and am thoroughly enjoying the playthrough.

The game is incredible in every sense. Its story, art, ambiance, audio, mechanics, and gunplay all combine to create one of the best gameplay experiences of the 21st century. With infinite replayability and charm, Metro Last Light Redux is a practically perfect game that you would need brain damage to forget.
