Ok, if Metal Slug 2 already had mummies... you can't even imagine what to expect in this third Metal Slug lol Well, there's an ALIEN INVASION in the game... the story is almost the same as the 2nd, let's agree... (and the 3rd one started to get too far-fetched) and at the end of the game there's a reference to Contra 3, which is cool the enemies, besides the rebellion soldiers, have aliens, extraterrestrial mutant animals, zombies (yes, even zombies are there) the gameplay is the same as Metal Slug X and with the same weapons too! New vehicles for the rebellion soldiers. A new support character in Metal Slug 3 is an orangutan in a diaper wearing a ruse. It's supposed to be one of those lab monkeys that managed to escape amidst the chaos of the alien invasion. We found him in a cage and were freed. He follows us and shoots everyone. One new thing in the game is that during gameplay, at certain moments, the paths will split and we have to choose which one to take. Both will lead to the same place, but the choice will make a difference in whether there will be more or less enemies, items and prisoners to rescue! The problem is that when playing in co-op, both have to choose the same path, otherwise there's no way, right? The thing about turning into a mummy has been removed (thank God), because there are no more mummy in the game! We still get fat and the new thing is that now we can turn into a zombie. In this form, we are very slow, we can't crouch or jump straight and we only use the pistol. But on the other hand, there is a special attack, which is a gigantic burst of red vomit in all directions. The delay of the commands has been fixed, finally, right? There is the Astroslug, which would be a rocket. If it is destroyed, we will have a jetpack to fly through the level. The sea slug, which would be a submarine, if it is destroyed, we will appear with a helmet and we will swim in the level as well. Also new in the game is the Elephantslug, an ostrich slug. This is starting to get a bit like Donkey Kong Country, and the elephant slug breathes fire and shoots lightning from its trunk. ... All in all, Metal Slug 3 is VERY TRIPED... but it's still fun!

Again, METAL SLUG 3 is a fun game. I gave it a positive review because of the game itself, not because of how it was ported to the Steam version. Please keep in mind that the game was poorly ported. The UI looks cheap, and the FPS keeps dropping when there is too much explosion. The final mission is crazy hard and much harder when the performance of the game is not stable.
