Again, METAL SLUG 3 is a fun game. I gave it a positive review because of the game itself, not because of how it was ported to the Steam version. Please keep in mind that the game was poorly ported. The UI looks cheap, and the FPS keeps dropping when there is too much explosion. The final mission is crazy hard and much harder when the performance of the game is not stable.

"Metal Slug 3" is a true gem among action games! The graphics are simply outstanding—colorful, detailed, and full of life, making each level a delight for the eyes. Defeating the screaming enemies is pure joy for me; the animations are so satisfying that you just can’t tear yourself away! The only downside is the relatively short gameplay—I completed the game on the highest difficulty level in just 3.5 hours. Still, every moment spent in this game was a fantastic experience that I will definitely remember. Highly recommended!

the most ambitious metal slug by a longshot, it's got gorgeous pixel animation and great music, brimming with new ideas and gameplay elements like having underwater and air levels, branching pathways and secret areas you can find in every level, the only things holding it back are some bullshit difficulty spikes, and the exhausting final level. i feel like it's a little weaker than the previous entry, but what it does bring to the table is definitely worth playing through, great end to a trilogy of classic games.
