12 years later and the multiplayer still has people playing. While the legendary edition is worth it for the upgraded graphics and gameplay, I still recommend the classic for the multiplayer. It's a simple game loop focusing on the combat but allows you to play as a variety of the races from the trilogy. Salarian STG? Yep. Krogan with a huge hammer? Yep. A freed collector with insane biotic powers? It's here. The enemies are various enough to keep the gameplay engaging. If you've never played it or like me haven't played in years, it's worth it. keep the multiplayer alive!

Legendary edition sucks for many reasons, not least of which is lack of coop. If you want to play coop (which is the best co-op experience ever), you need this version. It already includes all of the DLCs Mass Effect 3 has.

People still play the multiplayer. Not a huge amount to be fair, but as of 6/14/2024, I could still start a new lobby and find people after a few minutes. It's faster if you start the game up and start it as a solo as well. Edit: Oh, there is also a mod on Nexus, and probably other places you can find mods, that provides controller support. It works great.

The Multiplayer in my opinion is a timeless classic I cannot stop coming back too! I couldn't suggest trying it with 3 of your friends more!

get it for the multiplayer if nothing else. the Biowere devs where morons for not remastering the multiplayer for the legendary edition. so i believe this version of the game is the superior version. better then the remaster because they gutted a game play loop that adsorbed mine and so many more peoples lives. i demand we get a free version of the multiplayer at the very least and yes the servers are actually still alive and reasonably healthy for a game mode the devs abandoned!
