Magicite has been abandoned by it's developer years and years ago. There is an entire realm that is broken, (No kidding. Stay away from the sand level.) Multiplayer requires third party workarounds. Lots of the talents and attributes from the races and skills are wrong or just don't work. The health bar and mana bar can glitch when you have too much, the poison potion only works against you. Cooking chicken can literally break the game. Archery is worthless. How to obtain most items and unlockables in the game is too obscure or completely nonexistent. Some items are completely worthless like the drum or the club. Buying a sword renders it with no stats. Most weapons are garbage, or completely obsolete or underpowered. All in all this game is literally completely unpolished and downright unfinished. It is a complete fucking mess and no one should buy this game in this state. Even with all of that in mind, I still love the heck out of this game and would recommend it to literally anyone I knew with a keyboard if these issues were fixed. I find myself delving into this game just to beat it again and again. Each run takes about 40 minutes if you win. I wish it didn't have so many things wrong with it when he abandoned it. Just fix multiplayer and I would be happy.

This game is absolutely fantastic both in concept and game play and has a lovely wondrous soundtrack as well. The graphics may not suit everyone's tastes, but I am a huge fan of it myself. It has a crafting system that may at first glance seem horrendous, but once you learn how to use it quickly and smartly, it proves to be a very fun game mechanic that combines very well with the type of inventory management you have to do on the fly. Some glaring negatives include tons of bugs, some very nasty, some that you can learn to live with. Super excusable considering it was made by one guy, but I wish he'd come back and fix some of the worst bugs. If you can be open-minded and look past some bugs and learn how to work around them, you will have a fantastic experience with Magicite. Highly recommend!

I would love if this game got an update. I mean we are rocking up on the 10th year anniversary so we probably wont but fuck i would love it if it did, an new revamped multiplayer system that allowed to play with friends through steam, more classes to play, different play styles, new items, maps, enemies. I really love this game and i've finished it multiple times, Would love to see it get a revamp for its 10th year anniversary tho. If you are hesitant to buy this game fucking do it, its still a great game as it is now but there is nothing wrong with some extra love.
