Game sucks. Why? There's not more of it. Since I finished it I can barely bring myself to play anything else, because I just want more of this. 10/10 ruin my life more please

Few games that claim to give you an open exploration experience actually live up to the promise; but unlike so many barren 10 hour experiences stretched out into 80 hour open world slogs devoid of any actual interesting exploration, this tight package is loaded full of interesting and imaginative experiences. I was constantly being surprised by how much the game offers. While combat is generally very simple, the game really shines in atmosphere, world design, and the many interesting weapons and spells. Uncovering the world's many secrets kept me backtracking to see how much I had missed. An impressive variety of spells that often times interact with the world in interesting and unique ways kept me constantly trying out new magic rings I found. Don't let the small scale of the game's opening fool you, leveling comes quick and before you know it you will be quite literally soaring around with an arsenal of weapons and spells that would make any rpg or souls fan giddy. I quite literally can not express the feeling of wonder this game gave me over and over again; from finding sequence breaking skips and secrets in the first few hours, up until the last few hours of scouring every inch for lore and multiple endings. And I can't recommend Lunacid enough.

It’s incredible how this game goes from being a completely chill dungeon exploration with the music in tune and all to almost giving me a heart attack while being hunted by a mare’s decapitated head and its terrible scream. And I feel that I still have some more things to discover!

Just finished the game, so it's fresh in my mind. Time to cover the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: Overall, gameplay feels pretty good, although it gets a bit tiring mashing or holding the right trigger constantly. Weapons are pretty varied, in power, reach, speed, and special effects, which makes it fun to try out lots of different weapons. There's lots of interesting magic, as well, including a fair handful of utility spells that aid in exploration. Speaking of exploration, the game is incredibly fun to explore, and while it doesn't have a huge level of verticality, it has enough with the jumping and various things you can do to gain elevation that it feels like a step above King's Field/Shadow Tower. There's a lot of secrets to be found, and most of them feel pretty worth the effort of hunting down. Map designs are pretty interesting, although the game would benefit strongly from an actual map, preferably one like the Pixy Map from King's Field that fills out as you explore. Many areas loop around on themselves and it's easy to get lost, particularly in the Accursed Tomb. The overall vibes of the game are pretty immaculate, very weird with hints of spooky. This is supported by the nice visual style and the truly excellent musical score. The soundtrack is very solid, and really fits the feel of the game, with it getting very unsettling at times. The Bad: A lot of enemy hitboxes are kinda funky, and there's a few enemies in the game that are just an irritating drag to fight. Most of them are fine, but I'd say about 3-4 enemies through the game are just outright obnoxious. Not hard, just tremendously annoying. A couple of the secret items, one of which is required for a secret ending, require some shenanigans to obtain that I've never liked seeing in a game. I'm not going to go into details, but I've only seen a few games try it, and it's kinda sucked every time. A minor nitpick, but still an annoyance. The Ugly: The bosses honestly just suck. Not that there's many of them, but what few there are just aren't at all fun to fight. They're massive damage sponges with fairly boring attack patterns, with the final boss being the worst of the lot, sporting not only a massive health pool and resistances, but a pretty spicy constant health regen. It ends up making very few strategies actually viable for the fight, which really drags down the open feeling of the combat in the rest of the game. Meanwhile, if you swap to one the the cheese strats, he goes down in about 30 seconds. It feels tremendously unbalanced, and I'm not sure what the developers were thinking. However, the bad parts of the game are definitely not enough to drag down an otherwise spectacular experience. I would definitely recommend this one, just be prepared for a very small handful of awful bosses along the way.

Im old. 30 is the new 90 and im already dead according to the internet so its nice to play a game that reminds me when i was young and full of life. I hope you damn zoomers get to experience what it was like to game in MY day. None of them war passes or D L C! None of them DANCES that hurt your hips or them Microtransitions or whatever you call them! Just a game about killing snails and wildlife, then killing an ancient god with a spoon you upgraded to deal 99 crit. The good old days.
