I fully recommend to everyone on giving this game a try. I play this on a daily basis and for me this is truly the best game that I have found so far. Once I start playing I literally cannot stop. 377 hours played and i am still going. It has great views with mountains, forests and lakes, with plenty of things to do in the game to keep you busy. Not too many quests. All chapters are achievable eventually as it does take time. This is not a quick game to play. So take your time and enjoy it. I would just like to add a little note to the developers of this game: Just want to say Thank you and well done on creating such a brilliant and enjoyable game and I hope this game continues with no end :) so, please keep up with all your good work and Thanks again.

The game is okay, but you really have to like this type of game to endure all the initial grind. It is absurd that you will make money faster selling boiled eggs than from the lumberjack business, which is useful at the very beginning, where you have to collect a large sum of money to pay off your uncle. Making planks is not satisfying because we sell them for next to nothing compared to the work put into it. It is worth doing this only after we buy a furniture factory, which I recommend doing first, before paying off your uncle. Then the game is quite enjoyable and we earn decent money. Very poor optimization, the game requires significant improvements and more earning options at the beginning, and above all we should feel satisfaction from cutting down, processing trees into planks and selling them, and there is none, but unfortunately the game has probably been abandoned in this aspect.

I kind of wish there were a maybe rating. The voice acting is horrid. I only got as far as wasting my time trying to get the trailer lined up to load the logs. I'm doof with that. Doesn't mean someone else might not be better at it. I don't want to spend what little play-time I have trying to back-up a tractor to get the trailer EXACTLY parallel to the felled tree.

This is a cool game! It doesn't have a tutorial per say, but the aunt and uncle give you some guidance and the quests give you the skills and information you need to be a lumberjack and mill operator. The engineer's view (right mouse button) and in- game prompts make it fairly easy to navigate the game mechanics. The quests will provide you with the means to acquire all the equipment needed to be successful with a reasonable amount of effort. You even have quests to obtain older, used versions of the big machines to really speed up your operations and profits to earn the money needed to buy modern equipment. I was able to complete my first play through without having to restart when I'd "figured the game out". The story line is compelling enough to keep the player engaged in completing the quests and progressing through the game. All of the NPC dialog support the story-line and various quests as appropriate to their role. A player will also need to make money and planks to complete the quests and rebuild, paint, and refurnish/decorate the house, the farm, and the lumber mill buildings. The game has provided me with many hours of entertainment and once the story-line was completed, I was free to continue playing and making upgrades to my buildings, pursing my character's love interest (Yes, she said "yes!" when he proposed :)) etc... I have saved that games so I can chase some of the game achievements later on, but for now I'm going to restart the game and challenge myself to only use one type of wood (different woods look different when used for builds or rebuilds. The first time through I used whatever wood planks were dry and available to expedite the completion of the quests and while it did not affect the game play, they looked bad. That brings me to my only negative comment, which is that it takes a long time (I’m not sure about the percentage, but it seems that wood planks dry at about 8-10% per game day) to get dry wood planks (only completely dry wood planks can be used for builds or rebuilds) from your lumber mill to complete the quests. There is a place to sell “wet planks” and a home improvement store to buy dry wood planks and keep the game progressing so this isn’t a game breaker. Wet planks don’t sell for as much as dry planks, but if you feed the lumber mill logs it will produce far more planks than you will ever be able to dry so it’s a workable solution when you need planks faster than they will be available from your mill. Replay-ability: In the present state it is good for one or possibly two (I’ve not tried the 2nd option yet) long (80+ hours) games as there is a major decision at the end of chapter 3 that determines how the player’s character proceeds (you can create a save point to try both options and save a lot of game time to try the other option). Each building can only be repaired and rebuilt once so once they are done – they’re done. You can repaint them as often as you like, and you can pursue different women as wives but other than the different ending in chapter 4 (whichever one you select eliminates the option to go the other way) the game will essentially be the same each time you play in its present state. It has been fun, and I'm going to play it again at least once. Moreover, I’d buy it again knowing what I now know so yes, I recommend this game. It’s well worth the costs and I could easily spend another 40+ hours (I'm at 79 now) on my first game trying to achieve financial goals and complete all the upgrades to buildings, the planting of forest, and so on, that I had planned as my game progressed.

Pretty good to play when you just want to kick back and relax. You need some patience to start progressing but once the ball starts rolling you quickly get the hang of things. Map isnt massive but is a good size given the things you can do and speed the vehicles go. Keen to see how to game progresses as i play it more!
