Great game, worthy one-time experiencing. In short its not an ideal game with positives and negatives to it but I would recommend giving it a try, as I has plenty of fun going through it. And as for details, lets go one by one: Positives: 1. Overall nice story with decent side quests 2. Quite unique combat that bases on card deck and their usage in fight 3. Pleasant graphical style with puppet'ish looking characters 4. Good voice acting (especially characters with altered voices) and interesting characters 5. Interesting world building Negatives: 1. Occaional plot holes and lacking ending 2. Combat gets repetitive quite fast . What makes it worse is that many cards are either irrelevant or boring while the selection is very limited. Closer to a middle of the game you get set of cards that is enough for you to finish the game making upgrades non-existent thus making engaging with any way of receiving coins or meeting a card trader lose its fun. 3. Ocasional absence of voicing for characters as a whole. That issue share both background NPCs and side quest NPCs which is very apparent at times. There is also a dialog where two characters talk together one after each other in turns while one is voiced normally and other is just blabbering which you could understand meaning of only through reading subtitles. 4. Completionist unfriendly. By that I mean there is no way to travel back and forth in places (partially caused by plot), so if something was missed during playing a particular part of the game, it is missed for this save file and cannot be gained. This would've not been an issue were there to be some kind of NG+ or an ability to select level to replay for the sake of getting missed parts, but sadly there is none of such. 5. Enemy variety lacking There are only so few different enemies and most of them take same strategy to beat and few of them rather annoying than hard, which contributes to point №2 . 6. Boss fights are mediocre at best Sadly they simply do not cause you to feel joy in overcoming them, at least in terms of combat, they are very simple and take only little more effort in beating than a regular fighting encounter.

Roll the dice or you’ll pay the price Lost In Random is a gothic fairytale-inspired action adventure where every citizen’s fate is determined by the roll of a dice. One of EA’s hidden gems and a pretty unique game. Positives: + unique playstyle (you have playing cards and you roll a dice, depending on what you roll you can select a card to play) + nice art style (A lot of the characters look creepy) + interesting story (I didn’t like the ending, kinda left on a cliffhanger) + good soundtrack Negatives: - The combat is slow and repetitive (it could get a bit frustrating doing the same thing over and over) Overall: A nice game with an interesting story, worth a try especially on sale if you have patience for the combat! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3158011426

I found this game "randomly" on DanTDM's channel where he did 1 episode of it, from then on i was absolutely in love with the art style, finished this in 2 long sittings and I gotta say this one didn't disappoint at all. I really have no Idea why this game didn't get more attention, maybe it was because of the optimisation issues which are still present in some areas. But if you do like a gothic environment filled with beautiful artwork and well crafted explorable areas, this game won't disappoint, 8/10 would recommend
