I have actually Kickstartered it back in the day, because I really wanted to play a wolf and this kind game is something I love to play just to get out of the stress of RL and I wanted to support a new Indiegame company at the time with their first game. I do like story orientated walking simulators, even better if you play an animal. They are soothing, even if the stories are often quite sad. This one isn't any different. It still hit me the same the second time I played it. First time was on console (which I got through the kickstarter) so I bought it later on for Steam as well, since I'm mostly playing on computer now anyway and I really wanted to play it sometime in the future again (this time with trying to get everything, since I still missed quite a lot in my first playthrough, even with going through all kind of corners). I played it now, obviously, and like I said I still love it. Pretty sure I will come back to it at some point in the future to play it again, just for the soothing aspect of running around as all sorts of animals. It definitely has replayability for me, who loves these kind of games, even with having 100%-ed it now. I know it may not be the same for others, but this is my personal opinion. Though the macaws were sometimes a little harder to control than any of the other animals XD I don't mind the price either, since even 5 hours of story in a game (if you ignore everything else) is quite a lot and if you're interested in playing it, but the price is too high, there are always discounts at some point or another.

This "Game" is a wonderful cinimatic story, while i use quotes around game as its more of an interactive movie pulling you in, the levels flow so naturally that my brain sorta autopiloted my character it felt so natural that it was almost like i'd played it before! i have 10,000's of hours in gaming and this game was a story i will never forget the world building and the detail are something words dont describe, while not a game in the conventional sense, truly it is much, much more. thank you for making this story

This game is amazing. I can't even begin to describe the graphics are so wonderful not too realistic but not too simple. The story is even better then I thought it was going to be, this game is a journey in which you receive different pieces of of the puzzle which all comes together at the end. I'm gonna be totally honest here. The game definitely felt unfinished. There's a plethora of bugs like floating assets, clipping, weird water effects, and issues with cutscenes (flashing). The goat models looked lifeless, standing around doing nothing, and for a game that emphasized taking control of various animals, there was only about 6 different animals total. The voice acting wasn't phenomenal, the story line was quite slow, characters felt flat for a good portion of the game, and even just the world building felt..... like I said, unfinished. I was incredibly hopeful for this game when I saw the trailer, but it fell short for me. The collection aspect felt useless with no feasible reward for it, with even the descriptions of the 'relics' provided no more than what the game already tells you directly. There's no reason for exploration and I frequently became turned around on the terrain. The best parts were by far when I happened to be a fish just because I enjoyed the jumping mechanic. I wasn't a fan of the controls and the camera kept clipping through objects, breaking that suspension of disbelief. I spent three hours powering through this game, grasping for any kind of substance the story could give me which.... wasnt much. THAT BEING SAID. The utter potential this game holds is insane, and despite it flaws I would still buy it again. It was a little bit frustrating, yes, with a dash of tediousness, (How many mushrooms you gotta put in here people????) but I was still crying by the end. There's a wide range of things this game lacks, but the team that created it was small and CLEARLY passionate about this project. The worst part is, I want MORE. I want to know the depths of this world, I want to really dig into the culture and the history because It felt like didn't give me much in my playthrough. Sure I got to know a few cities and the plight the two societies went through, but it felt like I was only scratching the surface. I REALLY want this game to be reworked, (despite being a relatively recent release, I know) and to be fleshed out visually and story-wise. This was in no means a bad game, simply flawed, but holding such good potential that I just wish they had the budget and team size to hammer the message home. If you can afford it, I would still give the game a play, as I'm sure a LOT of people wont mind the things I had gripes with, and who knows? Maybe this game hits all the sweet spots with you and becomes a new favorite?

I recommend people looking to play this game go into it with the following knowledge: 1. That this game is more of an interactive movie than a full game. 2. Minimalist mode is preferred and allows for many story beats to land better. 3. This game is best purchased during a sale. Overall, I really liked this! The game was a short and sweet experience with good ost and very good art design. I have a couple of nitpicks (i.e the VA being a little goofy and the art sometimes having an "uncanny valley" feel, and also the price probably being too steep, etc.), however those have already been covered by other reviews. I also tried to Fish% this game (where you play through the entire game as a fish. Don't try it for your sanity), and failed royally because you're not supposed to play the entire game as a fish.
