The story was intriguing. A little more to one's run-of-the-mill domestic violence. The game tries to grip you in the story and want to reveal more. I enjoyed trying to unravel the mystery. The mechanics could've been more engaging. I wish the puzzles were a bit more varied. The flashing lights weren't really necessary. Didn't really care for the psychological analysis with the Rorschach test if it wasn't going to lead anywhere in the story. The pixel art was beautiful in the cutscenes. There's replayability for those who want to play to either the "Angel" or "Devil" of the story. However, I don't know if I would want to go through the whole 4.5 hrs to see a different ending if the story, is pretty linear to get there.

Just a good game for a sleepless night like this..... Great soundtrack, not bad intriguing story, mesmerizing atmosphere of the deep American south of post-war times.. I was especially pleased with this song in the middle of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1-TrAvp_xs

A small but quite well-made game, a noir detective with a few twists that I won't spoil. The story kind of left me wishing for more, I wasn't really engaged by it. The puzzles are basically nonexistent, it is more of an interactive movie than a puzzle game. Still, the graphical style is nice, and I don't regret the two hours I spent on the game (although I definitely won't replay it in search for other endings).

Started off kinda meh , but eventually ' Loretta's narrative drew me in with it's intriguing murderous plot . I mean, who doesn't feel the urge to hit someone over the head with a shovel every once in a while? ᴱᵛᵉʳʸᵒⁿᵉ ᶠᵉᵉˡˢ ᵃ ᵇᶦᵗ ᵐᵘʳᵈᵉʳᵒᵘˢ ˢᵒᵐᵉᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ʳᶦᵍʰᵗˀ This game definitely has its highs and lows. I've been reflecting on why this game didn't quite hit the mark for me. I guess it's small annoyences that hurt Loretta's gameplay and story. Elements such as the derpy designed puzzles and particularly the text presentation in the game, which expands from the center rather than flowing from left to right, make it difficult to read smoothly (whyy guys whyy). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3247886516 Despite these aspects of the game that I didn't enjoy, I was still compelled to see how the story would end. I loved uncovering the unfolding events. And I have to say, the sounds and music are also impressively executed, conveying a psycho vibe at the right moments. If a murderous noir tale from the '40s featuring a vintage housewife tickles your fancy, why not endulge your morbid curiosity and give this game a whirl, keeping in mind it's not all peaches and cream . https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3247886266 Recommended. While Loretta's is strongest in its initial simplicity, it does veer dangerously into some convuluted territory towards the end. That said I still absolutely love this game primarily for it's story. Definitely for fans of Harvester Games. The pixel art and portraits are fantastic and manage to actually give cinematic feel to enhance the story. This is a essentially more like watching a slow burn pixelated thriller so if you're a gameplay-over-plot person this may not be fore you. The biggest annoyance are the "minigames" that lead into most of the chapters. Most of them feel thematic to the story but do little to enhance it and a few are actually quite annoying to play, especially when you fail and have to restart. In the end they just feel like an exercise that is used to pad some more time into a somewhat short playtrhough. I really don't think it's necessary in the case of this game though. Lean is better. Regardless I love this kind of story and storytelling. Awesome stuff.
