This feels like one of those masterpieces of an RPG maker game that reminds us that artists can still do incredible things with simple mediums The art and presentation is immaculate, it works so well for what its going for despite being pixel art, all the horrors are spooky and it's easy to tell what something is or was. The gameplay is pretty good for just standard rpg maker combat, the survival parts of this survival horror game were interesting, and it felt good to play up to being in good supplies of everything, although if you don't restrict yourself the combat can be easy to break. The story was really cool to get into, and I really like how they did the whole thing. The writing feels very unique for the cosmic horror genre, feeling "realistic" in a way that isn't melodramatic, it felt like the characters were either realistically reacting to the situations, or were insane. sometimes both My only real complaints are that you get a lot of time to learn and interact with the friends you make in game, but as far as I know you get no payoff for this in any of the endings, they are just forgotten about in all of them. also there are a few bugs that need to be squashed, although that may be fixed by the time you read this review. all in all, if you like cool stories and rpg maker games, this is a blast I can't recommend more, hopefully it becomes one of the genre defining ones. (below this is the original review before editing, I made it quickly incase other people were like me and couldn't fullscreen the game, which you can just do as an option in the game now lol) almost certain I'll enjoy the game but need to make this review quick Press f12, go to "console", then paste the following in document.documentElement.requestFullscreen() You may need to type "allow pasting" without the question marks first Anyway this makes it fullscreen, I'll edit this later with my actual thoughts, gamejolt demo was great but for what it's worth I didn't need to google for an hour to learn how to fullscreen it (quick edit, apparently just pressing "f4" works for a lot of people, it didn't work for me though)

When this game wants to be funny and absurd, it succeeds. When this game wants to be serious and thought provoking, it succeeds. And when this game wants to scare you, god damn does it succeed. Pixel art is gorgeous, game play is challenging but fair, the game creator's passion for it oozes out of every grotesque enemy and new environment. Somehow an obscure indie horror game nailed the feeling of an apocalypse better than hundred million dollar movies. This is one of those games that you play through and then think back on for a long time, and for 10$ I cannot recommend this game enough. Calling it, GOTY 2025

This game belongs in the podium of best turn-based indie RPGs ever made, alongside Omori and Undertale. It's criminal that this game hasn't been talked about. The possibilities, the different ways to progress in the game, how one little dialogue can change the entire outcome of the game... There's so, so much love in this game, it's insane. 10/10 use F4 for fullscreen btw.
