A fun survival/crafting type of game. A bit like animal crossing, but with weapons and raid-like activities. There are already mods and the game is not even out of early access! The amount of content in the base game is right, and actually very good if you consider the price. I can only think of two area of the games that could use some improvements. 1- There is a lot of non-obvious stuff, the tutorial covers nothing but the most basic mechanics. Longvinter could use some QoL improvements to fix this but right now, you'll have to either watch youtube content or play with friends to discover some of the mechanics required to progress. One quick example is acquiring all the metal parts you need. You are expected to kill a specific type of birds, and trade feathers for metal parts at one specific vendor on the map. If you don't discover that, it will greatly reduce how fast you evolve as you will depend on random loots and random vendors. 2- The official servers feel crowded a bit. Which make discovering the game (see point 1) more difficult than it should be, probably. You can alleviate the issue by joining a team of experienced friends, or ideally, set up a unofficial server and discover the game with some people you trust at your own pace. Fortunately, setting up a server is really easy; an official linux container exists for docker, so that you can easily deploy a server practically anywhere. It doesn't require a lot of RAM or storage either.

Animal Crossing with Rust elements. Very fun game with friends. Still fun solo but not as much.

This game is a real treat for people who love animal crossing and survival games c: I plan on buying copies for my family. Reading the comments you only see downvotes about PvP play and servers, but there's PvE servers, and you can host your own. There are hostile NPCs to kill if you do not want to participate in pvp. The game is still unforgiving and if you die in PvE someone can loot your stuff.

this game isn't really anything more than animal crossing with guns. which is kinda unoriginal. but the gameplay is good, bugs aren't extremely bad, and the price is good. it's worth a shot and if you don't like it, you can refund it.
