I used to play this game when it was an indie game on XBL back in the day. Glad to see it made its way here. It truly is a great little game and has hours and hours of racing to keep you busy. Would recommend!

TLDR: 2014 top down racing game. Fun game that rewards you by awarding $ in game to customize your ride. Different Cars perform and drive noticeably different than others. Single player mode And Online-multiplayer. Recommended 8/10. PLEASE NOTE***I no longer trust Steam Reviews as evidenced by Steam hiding a WELL-DESERVED negative review I left on Skullgirls. This means they allow Only opinions they agree with to affect the steam score. Anti-consumer af practice by Steam allowing false perception of a games review score(Steam is allowing this manipulation to occur and thus allowing customers to be lied to about a games TRUE user rating. Further proof of Steam User score manipulation: see justice league game scores... EVERY Single review site says game is trash...YET STEAM has had that crappy game's user score to be mostly positive. Why have you sold us out Gabe N? I can NO longer trust steam reviews because of your bending the knee and promoting woke trash games along with hiding/not counting negative review scores...SO TAKE MY REVIEW with a grain of salt and do your own further research on ANY game you buy from steam by using outside less deceptive/manipulated game review sources. And Valve/Steam support A.I. avoid answering questions and close the case. I miss real people responses from steam support... YOUR A.I. is SUCKY AF and doesn't understand basic English. Also Steam allows companies to go into your library and remove a game you purchased/ added to library WITH NO RECOURSE FOR THE CUSTOMER. DISGUSTING! OK now onto my little racers street review after my previous 100% TRUE DISCLAIMER stated above. ADVICE: (Turn difficulty ALL the way down when you begin OR you will lose EVERY race....to the .7 credits lowest difficulty....or you will LOSE and quit. Fun and addictive game playable with keyboard, BUT using a controller is recommended for maximum enjoyment. Good: Game is super fun once u swallow your pride and drop difficulty. Cars are distinct and perform in noticeably different ways. Upgrades actually effect your ride's performance. Looks good overall especially for a 10 year old game. Different classes with multiple cars to buy(using in game $ earned by racing; no additional REAL money needed after game purchase). Addictive racing...as it has that "just one more race" feeling keeping you coming back. Customizable controls, graphics, AND cars. allows accelerator, regular brakes, E-brake for drifts along with highly steerable cars with varying levels of Nitro Boost depending on your vehicle and augments/upgrades you choose. Damage by hitting other cars or the side of the track damage your vehicle and lower it's performance so we get some realism. Bad: Game is only playable at beginning on EASY mode, otherwise you will get crushed by the A.I. cars. Game doesn't allow for 2 player split screen mode as you can Only race other humans online. EVERY Race game should have a 2 player split screen mode(or even 4 player split screen), which would allow me to play this game with friends AND NOT require different Online accounts to play with a friend or 2 or 3. Tracks do not display lengths so it is difficult to tell if the race will be fast or take a while (it tells you lap amounts per race but ZERO info on length of each lap). The weather effects are not Very noticeable so similar race whether sunshine or snow. Final complaint is sometimes the course arrows are confusing as the same yellow arrow is used to show which direction is upcoming...this gets confusing on some tracks where there is an overlap such as a figure 8 at the intersection point (constantly peaking at mini map helps but is a lil distracting as taking your eyes off he car for just a second can lead to a bad crash sometimes causing a loss....Also minimap is on opposite side of speedometer and damage meter so you have to look at 3 different things at once at 3 different places on the screen. Game is pretty basic but fun nonetheless. Could be better but fun as it is...especially if you understand all I have written prior to this sentence. It's VERY AFFORDABLE AT $5.99, AND even more affordable if you put the game on your wishlist and wait for a sale. Only takes up a mere 69ish Mb's of hardrive(WAY less than a 1GB game). I would buy this again and I Fully recommend Little Racer Street. It's like RC pro-am on steroids for my old school gamers. No weapons...just pure fun top down racing. I like this game a lot!

This is a great little gem of a racing game that has a lot of cars and track variations. A career mode to keep you going, you can upgrade your cars as well. It's worth much more than $5.99

Here's what you do: You compete in races to earn money to upgrade your car and buy new cars to compete in higher classes of races. All the tracks are actually cut up portions of two large cities of roads. To make the tracks, bright blue barriers are setup to block other roads. Yellow arrows are drawn on the ground to constantly inform you where to go if you can't tell by the roads alone. What I like: + The perspective is top-down by default, but there are five different camera options and two of them are a behind-the-car view. This can remove any confusion that comes from left and right steering from an above perspective. + Career mode to reach the #1 rank among CPU controller racers. + Many cars to choose from with their own base stats, which can be upgraded albeit with a set limit. + Customize the color of any of your cars, some with two colors. + Solo challenges available to unlock some cars and earn chunks of money. Other cars can be bought in the game shop. + Daily online challenges for time trial leaderboards with a hand-picked car and track. + Free roam mode lets you drive around either of the two cities all the tracks are made from. There is no point to this, it's just for fun. With the cities already made, there could have been more open-city challenges made, but this game only has racing. What I don't like: - Multiplayer is online only, no local multiplayer, and the online is pretty much dead. - There are no cups with a set number of tracks to race through. Career mode selects five random tracks you can choose from to race, based on the classes of the cars you own. When you get a lot of cars of multiple classes, you may get a set of five tracks which don't align with your goals for completing challenges or raising your rank. You have to complete a race to reshuffle the selection. - There are 50-something tracks in the game, but the 50 tracks in class E (lowest) are the same 50 tracks in class A (highest). You just have to use a different set of cars to race them. - The only difference between high class races and low class races is the speed of the game. I don't mean your car just goes faster, it also turns faster, brakes faster, and accelerates faster. So making a turn with a class E car is sometimes more difficult than with a class A car because the class E car turns wider even though the class A car is traveling at a higher speed. My point is you don't have to compensate for higher speeds of class A by turning sooner, you have to start your turn at the same time you would in class E because the E cars are so bad. Conclusion: I think the game's best handling is with class B cars and races. It is a little disappointing that there is no definitive end-goal to the game. You can get career mode rank #1, complete all the car and class specific challenges, and do the achievements, but there is no victory screen apart from the end of race screen like you would have if there were a cup or tournament structure. You just keep racing single races until you decide you are done. I do still think the races are fun because I like the track design and the handling of a majority of the cars. I've played for over 30 hours, but keep in mind that this game is in reality a big grind, so this recommendation is a barely recommend. Want a more detailed look?
