great linear game. there isn't much interaction going on in the 4 hours that is enough to finish this game, you are more of an observer. there are situations where you are running from something or trying to solve a puzzle but the game is mostly for you to experience with observing. such a dark theme and ambiance combined with a great soundtrack and great controller vibrations, creates a tense and disturbing gameplay; which is the selling point of this game. would recommend on a sale.
This game deserves all the acclaim it has received over the years. It’s a visually impressive experience, and one thing I really admire about it is that there isn’t a lot of exposition to explain the story to you. It just kind of plops you down into the world and allows you to pick up details through exploration and context. This version (the enhanced one) actually comes with the 3 dlc packs released after the main game, these are collectively known as the Secrets of the Maw dlc. It was a really great additional story that links into the main campaign, just told through the perspective of another character. Definitely worth buying. Little Nightmares is an amazing horror masterpiece. That doesn't mean it's perfect. There are some janky physics and frustrating glitches. Some puzzles or sections are a bit annoying to complete, since you'll have to die a ton of times until you figure out how to get through. But, with the bad stuff out of the way, this is an iconic 3rd person horror game. You view the world as if the characters were in some sort of "dollhouse", and you're looking from the outside. The controls and movement are decent, but sometimes the perspective can play tricks on you. There are puzzles, platforming, stealth and monster chases, and some mixes of these types of sections too. The artstyle and graphics are really good. The atmosphere is creepy and the sound design helps a lot with it. The music is pretty good, it sounds "childish" in a creepy way. The monsters' design and sounds are very gross and they really do a great job with being memorable threats. Your character, a girl named "Six", has an interesting story, that you'll have to see for yourself. The overall story of the game is very mysterious and raises a lot of questions, some of which are never answered. Now, it's a bit annoying to be left with so many doubts about what the story is about, but it's still quite enjoyable. It's kinda short, if you know what you're doing. But if you want more, you can always get the [url=store.steampowered.com/app/640920/Little_Nightmares__Secrets_of_The_Maw_Expansion_Pass/]DLC . But I highly recommend playing the base game first, to get the best out of its story. Overall, this is a very fun game, I love it a lot, despite all its flaws. It's one of those game worlds that, sometimes, I just want to revisit and play again.
Cutsie little horror platformer. As if All Tomorrows and Spirited Away had a baby. Speaking of babies, this game is about... um... child trafficking... and cannibalism... and overconsumption? Not a single word was spoken throughout the game, yet the story was told. A magnificent, complex story. I find that amazing. And it scared the ♥♥♥♥ outta me. The way it made me feel small while I climbed the outside of the ship... And humming of that yokai lady... The way sound effects build tension and anxiety... Chef's kiss! Controls are ass, but the vibe is 10/10.
