I am perplexed. On one hand, the concept of an omegaverse being explored on the yuri side of things is always a treat. It literally isn't done enough, and frankly has a lot of potential for both a passionate yet instinctual romance and the domestic lovey dovey kind. On the other hand, LipTrip is a kinetic visual novel that falls very short in terms of length and exploration. Like I got to the end of it and was baffled that it just ends there. LIKE? LIKE? No pregnancy, dating life, bad endings, or even more graphic sex scenes? It's certainly one thing to not make an interesting story, but to have one that falls very short on a concept. A concept that isn't done often, priced fairly high for it's run time is leaving me in ruins here. I certainly wouldn't recommended LipTrip compared to a few other visual novels, but the concept and characters do have a hold on me that the other VNs don't. It's entirely a game that fulfills my preferences, and one I really hope they can make better either by remaking it with more paths or expanding the story through DLC. As the story goes, the actual lore and explanation of what an omegaverse is, is handled quite well. It's not lingered on too much, and given just enough time to at least capitalize on one aspect of it. The two main characters have proper chemistry and the VAs did an excellent job voicing their characters. Visually the backgrounds are properly some of the best i've seen in visual novels lending itself to feel more like a photo rather than a simple backdrop. Even the extras are given enough time that it doesn't feel like it's just the two main characters throughout the game, but rather a lived world. This all sorta of accumulates to me wondering why it felt so rushed at the end. While we certainly did get a proper resolution to the current happenings, it does leave room for a lot more than just what we got. With how well the game is produced I certainly want to see more of it, but it's a hard thing to recommended for both being omegaverse and fairly short in length. When it comes down to it though, I legitimately just want more.

Like other reviewers have mentioned already this VN is VERY short. I leisurely took my time with it and still managed to finish it under 1.5 hrs. I would recommend picking it up on a good sale in the future, but other than that, I can't say I'd recommend it full price. The world building is interesting & the set up with the characters is too, but other than that there just isn't much here.

kinda disappointed because i was so excited for this to come out (adult yuri AND omegaverse?? i'm seated!!) felt like a demo because of how short it was (1.5 hrs. i was idle, that's why i have 5.5 hrs ;_;) liptrip had the same staff that worked on the oshirabu series, so i had high hopes. the story could've been better if it was longer so that they could've established the characters and the omegaverse. it's like they wanted to do all of these ABO tropes but just wanted to put something out asap :( hopefully they release a second part bc i'm gonna kay ehm ess if they dont !!!!!!!

This is first time i ever heard of the omegaverse fandom and aside from some googling this game is my first introduction to it. Overall world building within the story and the "rule" of fandom is very believable and relatable when i picture how each type fit into this world. Main Plot is quite all over the place but that is what to expected from a 2 hours-ish story. Still very enjoyable read for yuri fan. World Building - 8/10 Main Plot - 5/10

Ok, listen. As an adult lesbian, I was genuinely excited when I heard about this VN, mainly because the Yuri genre tends to be saturated with innocent and wholesome schoolgirl fluff, and honestly, I'm just tired of it. I was thrilled to see someone finally tackling the relatively unexplored realm of Yuri omegaverse. Unlike the hugely popular BL omegaverse genre, larger-scale Yuri omegaverse projects are practically non-existent. But the VN left me with mixed feelings - it was both disappointing and great at the same time. The pacing was breakneck, rushing to introduce players to its vision of an omegaverse setting, which felt pretty basic compared to other omegaverse works. It seemed like ideas were thrown around and plot points were set up, only to either remain unresolved or fall flat upon execution. Despite this, the writing was still very enjoyable and refreshing. However, the biggest letdown was the VN's length. It was incredibly short, much shorter than their previous games. I finished it in about 1.5h, leaving me feeling like the game ended just as it was getting started. Which is frustrating, because I really liked the relationship between the two leads. Overall, it's a great Yuri VN with excellent artwork and character design that tries to stand out from generic schoolgirl-themed ones, but is soured by its short length.
