When I first picked up Life is Strange: True Colors, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was a bit hesitant, but wow, I’m so glad I gave it a shot. The story, the characters, the emotions.. it all just hit me in the best way possible. And then there’s Steph. Oh man, Steph. I might sound soft saying this, but I wish I could have my own happy ending like that. She’s just so genuine and precious, and honestly, she stole the show for me. The bonus DLC where you play as Steph? Absolute perfection. Getting to see more of her backstory and experience things from her perspective was everything I didn’t know I needed. It added so much depth to her character, and now I just want more of her. This game isn’t just about the choices you make; it’s about the way it makes you feel. And for me, it felt like I was part of something special. If you’re into emotional, character-driven stories, you’ve got to play this. Trust me, it’s worth it. :,)

To be honest, no game has impressed me as much as this one lately. I haven’t experienced such incredibly sweet, sad and joyful moments for a long time. The atmosphere of the game is simply wonderful. The main character is simply a miracle. And most importantly, here you forget about any of your problems.

I recently had the opportunity to play Life is Strange: True Colors and I have to say, it hit me hard. As a fan of the previous Life is Strange games, I had high expectations for this one and while it may not have surpassed its predecessors, it still delivered a solid experience. First off, the story in True Colors is emotionally charged and tackles important themes such as grief, trauma, and the power of empathy. The main character, Alex, has the ability to feel and manipulate other people's emotions, which adds a unique twist to the decision-making aspect of the game. I was constantly torn between making the “right” decision and using Alex’s power for personal gain. It kept me on my toes and made for a deeply thought-provoking experience. The voice acting and character development in this game are top-notch. The voice actors did a fantastic job of conveying the depth and complexity of their characters. I felt fully invested in the story and genuinely cared about the outcome of each character's arc. Besides Alex, I especially enjoyed the dynamic between Alex and her brother Gabe, as well as the friendship between Alex and her love interest, Ryan. However, as much as I enjoyed the story and characters, I couldn't help but feel that the pacing was a little off. The first few chapters felt slow and a bit repetitive at times. It wasn't until the last few chapters that the story truly picked up and I found myself completely engrossed. Additionally, there were a few plot holes and inconsistencies that left me feeling a bit unsatisfied with the overall story. One thing that stood out to me as being weaker than its predecessors was the gameplay. While the previous Life is Strange games had puzzles and challenges that added an element of suspense and urgency, True Colors lacked that. Instead, it relied heavily on dialogue and quick-time events, which made it feel more like an interactive movie at times. Don't get me wrong, the dialogue was well-written and the quick-time events were intense, but I missed the thrill of solving puzzles and making decisions that had real consequences. All in all, Life is Strange: True Colors delivers a powerful and emotional story with well-developed characters. While it may not be as strong as its predecessors in certain aspects, it is still a solid addition to the Life is Strange franchise. I highly recommend it to fans of the series and anyone looking for a thought-provoking and emotional gaming experience. However, be prepared for a slower pace and less challenging gameplay compared to the previous games.
