I thought this game was really fun. I don't know what it is about Marvel's cast of characters, but they're so varied they're a lot of fun to use. And when you add an open-world, this is the kind of game I've always been looking for. Imagine if they made a non-Lego version of this, where you can be a more realistic hero and run around a city and fight bad guys.

Played this as a kid. I don't know how I found the time to get over a thousand hours. I don't know how my younger self did it. Lotta memories with this one, that's for certain.

Probably the best overall Lego game, at the very least contender for the top three. If you plan to 100% the game, you will be rewarded as you continue with new bite-sized levels featuring other well-known marvel characters that didn't quite make the cut for the main story's levels such as Daredevil, Dr. Strange and Ghost Rider. If you don't want to 100% the game but do want to play these levels, get ready to collect 200 gold bricks to do so. Not super difficult, but the open world can get a bit glitchy, so you can have times where quests don't work properly or don't reward you when you complete them. Regardless, the main story is still one of the best from LEGO, and it's amazing to see the big parts of Marvel (Fantastic 4, Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man) together in one game.

I did not expect to still enjoy it when replaying it again on PC but this is still a crazy good LEGO game. The characters are a big draw in for me but still there is just so much to do and so much to unlock it feels like a really good and entertaining game!
