It's basically $20 ($40 if you don't own the old versions of these games) for slightly updated textures, lighting and Steam achievements. It's not horrible but I wish they did a better job with this like they did with the original two Lego Star Wars games. This is worth it if you're a completionist but if these slight upgrades don't tickle your fancy then wait for a sale or skip out on it.

These games should have received the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga treatment. This franchise has the scope, nostalgia, and capability similar to Star Wars to provide a new unique game that takes advantage of the progress the team at TT have made in creating LEGO games with diversity of mechanics, character selection, voice lines, and available world. That being said, this remaster, for what it is, is worth getting over the originals. As far as I've seen, game-breaking bugs in the original Steam releases have been fixed and the game is nicer on the eyes. I'm having fun replaying these games to full completion for the nth time. An additional note that you have to scroll through and accept some ToS jargon every time you launch the launcher which is tedious.

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW We are all obviously aware of these games and how much we enjoyed them in our youths. There is no question in doubt that you should own at least a version of these games in your library from whatever console you choose. However we are now in a dilemma and I will try my best to answer the question. Should I buy this? TLDR: No, there is minimal to no improvements in this version that requires anyone to spend more than $15 on this version of the game. What is included in this version Enhanced Graphics: Improved visuals with higher resolution textures and better lighting effects. These enhanced graphics are minimal to none. They are noticeable in the first 1-4 years but not in the second part of the game. The games are simply made sharper and brought up to a higher resolution Improved Controls: Updated control schemes for smoother game play, especially on modern consoles. This is true, the controls feel a lot more smoother and solving puzzles is a lot easier. Keyboard/Mouse support and DuelSense Support for owners. Expanded Content: Additional levels, characters, and challenges that weren't in the original games. DLC that was included in the previous version is now finally on Steam. This DLC only includes character packs nothing of story content. Quality of Life Features: Streamlined menus, faster loading times, and improved character-switching mechanics. These enhancements are true but not an issue with the previous titles. Load times were already fast, the menu's were not as clunky and the character swapping actually feels better in this version of the game. New Unlockables: New collectibles and unlockable characters to discover. This is the DLC that previously only existed on consoles now on Steam. Bug Fixes and Optimizations: Various bugs from the original releases have been addressed, leading to a more stable experience. I played this on Steam Deck and can honestly say it feels a lot more stable and performs better. This is definitely the difinitive way to play on Steam Deck. PC is very minimal to changes in performance. I'm not entirely sure what Bugs were fixed or added so I cannot speak on those. Lastly for the first time we have Achievements on this game. If you care for those, like I do than this purchase will purely be based on that. Along with the owning both games in 1 installed program makes it easier to manage and start up. However both games are still separate, you will be given a Launcher to pick the game you would wish to play. I find this very disappointing because I was expecting both titles to be running on 1 gamehub/world. Last note. As someone who owns every LEGO game on steam I can confidently tell you they go on sale pretty often. If you do not wish to purchase this version at $40 (because I think that's insane) simply purchase the other versions for $4.99EACH when they go on sale.
