After 13 hours of gameplay in LEGO Brawls on Steam, the game presents itself as a colorful, lighthearted brawler that leans heavily on LEGO’s charm and creativity. The customization options are a standout feature, allowing you to build your own minifigure fighters with countless combinations. The gameplay is fast-paced and fun, though it’s more casual compared to other competitive brawlers, making it accessible for all ages. The maps are filled with LEGO-themed hazards and power-ups that add variety to the matches, but the combat can feel simplistic and lacks the depth needed to sustain long-term engagement. I bought this game less than 24 hours ago and in the time since have already played 3.2 hrs worth of it. I am convinced this game is bloody brilliant, not only is there a ton of costume customisation there is also weapons and power ups to make your ultimate brawler. Yes, the game is similar to Super Smash Bros in a sense but it takes it's own spin on it and is it's own thing not just a Smash Clone. There is a large variety of maps spanning several Lego themes from pirates to monkey kid to Ninjago (4 times over, lol). The game also give a sense of progression being able to unlock new items just by playing and selecting which theme you'd like to receive it from as well as exclusive items to whatever event I'm sure they got running. I found no matter what mode I was playing I was having fun whether I was winning or not and I'm sure it'll be a ball to play with mates. As of 3/10/2024 the game is at a 80% discount down to $2.90 until the 15/10/2024. Take a chance and give the game a go I'm sure you'll love it. ☺☺☺☺☺☺ I got to play as the Indominus rex ☺☺☺☺☺

The overall gameplay loop is pretty fun but after a few rounds it does get a little old. I only really 100% this because of my journey to 100% every LEGO game, so if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have played it for as long as I did. If you just want a casual competitive experience (that's basically what this is) than play for an hour or two every once in a while. 6/10

fun and enjoyable, a liiittle glitchy but it has it's own charm. i'd love to see more lego monkie kid stuff in it.

The concept of taking a bunch of Lego properties and mashing them all together in a fighting game is brilliant. What makes it even better is that they've added minifigs and the like from the early 2010's (which is great since themes from this era are nostalgic for me). If I have one gripe (and it's VERY minor), I wish they only had pure Lego themes... Having Jurassic Park is nice, I suppose, but it feels a little odd to see Owen Grady beating Monkie Kid over the head with a chicken leg on a stick... Other than that I adore this game.
