The game is pretty good, I've played all the previous Ironhide games and this one holds up pretty well. It has a good bit of lore every level but it's a little short. I hope they add some more DLC or a higher difficulty because the game isn't that hard. I only lost once during the entire campaign and bonus stage. It's kind of like a RPG but with some roguelite elements. It has good replayablity because of the RNG with the encounters, you can only pick 3 heros for your party, and you get to add 1 while playing. Your hero's level up and unlock new abilities outside of the run, but you have to level them up in a run to use them. Most of the bad reviews on this game is biased because Ironhide built a following on tower defense, but now that they made a game in a different genre all the people who bought this game because they like Ironhide are struggling with it because it's unfamiliar. If you're here for a good strategy game I recommend it.

One of the best turn rpg i´ve ever played. Pros: Roguelike sistem: Every adventure your heroes restart. But you can unlock new skills for next matches. Amazing battles and strategy. Lots of heroes and options. Con: I LOVE the tower defenses from kindgom rush. This game is NOTHING like the tower defense series. So, don´t expect the same. This is a full diferent game. Few heroes are trash and need a buff , or turn game to easy to be able to use them and survive.

This game could have been so much better. Start with showing how far enemies move, and what their spells are, like in the last spell. Next I would put an emphasis on skills, you are so far into each campaign when you get fun skills- dont get to use them much before you win. I would give skills at start and when leveling choose attribute boosts Increase mob variety. I would love to be able to do epic combos, but most of the time what is the point because the highest health mobs still die in a couple hits. Likewise, having some really low health mobs- that arent something like immobile tentacles- would make AOE much more fun

This was my first turn-based strategy game, and it made me appreciate that style of play. The gameplay is really solid, and I had a blast the first time I played through. It has a lot of replayability as well, and I only wish there was more comment to play. It's probably my favorite Kingdom Rush game, due to how much effort went into the details. This is the most "lore-intensive" game, and it makes an effort to do so. Absolute recommendation, and I want more of this game!
