The best way I can describe Legend of Keepers is as a dumbed-down version of dungeon defense games like Dungeon Keeper and Dungeons mixed with some minor roguelike elements. I teetered between giving this game a positive or a negative review but ultimately decided to give it a positive one. I did enjoy the time I spent with the game, the graphics are cute and the game’s sense of humor is quirky and endearing. However, there isn’t a lot of depth to this game and you’ll quickly find yourself getting bored. Legend of Keepers feels more like a mobile game than one designed for PC. Go ahead and pick it up on sale if the game’s premise sounds intriguing, but don’t expect to spend more than a few hours playing Legend of Keepers.

I picked this game up on sale for $3.99, HOLY COW WHAT A DEAL! This game is well worth its full price. Its low impact fun that sucks you in but if you need to get up and walk away no biggie. Voice acting is fun. Clearly they put A LOT of thought into the game (and content). Lots of levels and while they all have the same basic game play loop they introduce enough variety and new stuff that it doesn't feel like the same thing over and over. I picked it up for my wife after a week of playing and shes been really enjoying playing it as well. Hope this helps.

I'm at almost 3 hours of gameplay but I like the game. Repetitive indeed but you just need to adjust your own gaming sessions. For example, I play max one hour when im bored, it's really entertaining. Then i'll leave and play another hour in the evening and so on.

Legend of Keepers is a fun roguelike with an engaging gameplay loop and some excellent pixel graphics. You set up two rooms of three monsters each plus a variety of traps and play out turn based combat against a group of three heroes who march through room by room and try to reach your boss, which then also engages in combat if needed. Your monsters lose morale if they get knocked out and your boss' hp carries over between fights, so there's some amount of planning involved. Between hero raids you can choose between some events to buy new monsters or traps, upgrade monsters or traps, gain morale, etc. There is plenty of interesting synergy between different monsters and artifacts that you can find, and some decent planning around elemental resistances if you take the time to think encounters through. Not too dissimilar in concept from Monster Train. Strongly recommend!

Worth a few bucks if you can grab it on sale. Otherwise, it's a bit shallow and repetitive.
