A stereotypical Casual Hidden Object Point & Click Adventure game. Not exactly thought-provoking. Only takes a few hours to fully complete. Mostly a bit of leisurely wholesome fun that doesn't take itself too seriously.

It's ok. Good story and puzzles. The way of finding some objects is too theatrical. The masked one is always close by, as are the sounds of wild animals, but the detective is not worried about it, She collects and solves puzzles.

Second trip through this, still fun. The minigames seem balanced for the difficulty Was a good length. Appreciate we could use some objects more than once. Solid HOG.

I can recommend this game as an average entry for a hidden object game. The story I honestly found hard to follow. The ship that arrives in the beginning of the game seemed to be old and abandoned to me, but I guess that it was a ship that was "attacked" only recently? Most of these games have a pretty simple story to follow, but this one I was never really sure why I was where I was or what the point of what I was doing was. If you're big into the stories of these games I might get something else, but I can say at least for me it didn't bother me too much. There were no collectibles and there is no bonus adventure, so the game is also shorter than some others I have played, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You can pretty easily get all the achievements in one playthough, although you have to play on Expert, so keep that in mind. I would also say that I didn't ever end up getting stuck too badly like I have in similar games before. Good QoL too, you can lock the inventory bar open and you can click on rooms in the map in order to travel to them quickly. I didn't have any technical issues with this game.

this is a good dark-ish artifex mundi published HOG with gream ambiance and lots of charm from the sort of narmy voice acting and all-over-the-place puzzling connecting a simple yet effective story about a haunted ship. speaking of the ship, the game lies, THERE WERE PEOPLE ON BOARD and i find infinitely funny. it's a great HOG, the fast travel and the easily telegraphed interacteable objects allows me to suggest left in the dark: no one on board (THERE WERE PEOPLE ON BOARDDDDDD) as a great place to start with the genre. the story is self contained and there are lost of banjos to find.
