This is a combined review of both the LEAVES games (Journey and Return). I absolutely can't get enough of the art style, the dreamy surreal landscapes and objects that feel like something recovered from a forgotten quirky artist's overgrown garden. The puzzles are everything from interesting and entertaining to repetitive and difficult but I just really like spending time in this world. Wouldn't mind another game in the series.

IMPORTANT WARNING: Be sure to limit the frame rate and force vertical sync with an external app (like Nvidia Control Panel) or your CPU and GPU will blow up. Said that and putting it aside, the adventure is an AMAZING second chapter to the first adventure; basically, it's more of the same. If you enjoyed the first adventure, you'll absolutely love this one. It has some brand new puzzles with a higher level of complexity, and a new take on some old puzzles and mechanics. Love every second of it.

Summary A short simple cute point and click in a unique fantasy world loosely continuing from its previous iteration. Pros + Simple fun Cons - Tedious puzzles Overview LEAVES - The Return is a short and cute point & click that's basically a continuation of the first game where we are back to helping the little red ball like creatures to collect the missing leaves for their tree again. Taking place in a slightly different world but still the similar fantasy land from the previous game. The game isn't really strongly connected to the previous game story wise as they are pretty independent to one another so can be played at any order. Similar to other point & click games there are puzzles to solve as you progress through the world and for this game the puzzles aren't too challenging but much more complex and less tedious compared to the previous game. There are hints and even solutions to puzzles, you just need to figure out and match them up with the correct puzzles. You are still given a map very early on to easily pinpoint areas and where to search for the leaves. It is a pretty straightforward point & click with fun and challenging puzzles that won't take too much time to complete while once again taking you into strange fantasy lands. Achievements can still be a little annoying to get them all as there are still some that are simple but require you to know what to do beforehand, as some aren't tied to the progress. I suggest looking over the achievements list so you know what to look out for while you play.
