short game with a bit of charm with the characters and minigames to go with them for the most part but you'd need to go through the whole game several times to get a full completion and some of the achievements can be a pain to deal with (looking at you pinball lizard and card shark) The Yay: - short game, doesn't require a lot of time to go through - characters are charming and can lead to some funny moments - music is beautiful and captures the atmosphere of the scene The Nay: - can get repetitive when going for a full completion - some achievements are down to chance, worst case scenario you'd have to do the whole game again - known unpatched bugs like the pinball machine softlock and the missing puzzle piece requiring file editing to fix the issue

Later Alligator is the best game I've played so far, not about crocodiles. I love puns and funny wordplay, and this game has it in spades. It's funny, charming, and just a very fun experience to bask in the silliness of. I wholeheartedly recommend buying the game and enjoying the experience of being the crime investi-gagator you've always wanted to be.

Later Alligator is a minigame-based comedy with very charming graphics. There's a large volume of humorous dialog with each character often having multiple conversations that keeps the humor fresh, even on subsequent playthroughs. The atmosphere of the game is lighthearted throughout, and I stopped on several occasions to take screenshots of dialog to share. The large cast of alligators is very goofy and it is clear a lot of heart was poured into drawing and animating all of them. As the game takes place over the course of a single "day" it quickly becomes clear that not everything in the game can be completed in one playthrough, but the game is designed with that in mind and all relevant collectibles and progress carry over between playthroughs. Most of the achievements are related to playing specific minigames in certain ways, most of which are straightforward once you look up what they want, with one or two taking quite a few attempts. It took me ~4.5 hours to complete the game, and an additional 2 hours to go around collecting the remaining achievements, a length which I think is pretty much perfect for a game like this - long enough to be a lot of fun without running so long as to cause the humor or charm to get old. Lots of fun, and I'm really glad I finally picked this one up.

This is a joyful game. :) Charming animation, good music, and a lot of silly gators to talk with. I found a couple of the minigames a bit frustrating, but I genuinely had fun with every character interaction. Recommended!
