Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is an isometric action-adventure game that still holds up surprisingly well. The gameplay is fun, with a mix of puzzles, combat, and exploration that feels rewarding. The graphics, while dated, remain visually appealing for an older title. The story is decent but more of a backdrop for the enjoyable co-op experience. Definitely one of those classics you can still have fun with in 2025. 8/10.

So its been 14 years from this review that this game came out. I was wandering through my Library trying to find some games that never got touched or I could give some attention to that were both fun and needed some completion throw at it, for those <cough cough>, Steam stats. So here we are, with a small review or my thoughts about this older game that came my way again. Overall, its a fun game. Sure its older, its not as crisp, its difficult to get it to run even, check the Discussion boards, the good folks over there helped me out. Some of the mechanics are rusty or difficult to get a hold of, but its a simple Tomb Raiding game harkening back to when the original games came out back in the 90's. Its just pure raiding of the tombs with a goofy story attached to it. If you arent going to 100% complete it, I see this as no more than 7 to 10 hours given your ability to just steam roll some of the levels. They can be very short and there are a few "boss" levels that are super quick. The upgrade system is absolutely nothing new we havent seen in the past or present but it does help with the variety. The puzzles are pretty easy which for me I liked. I didnt want a purely puzzle game so it was a nice mix. For the 100% completion folks looking for a quick game to demolish for that sweet sweet 100%. Its a bit longer but not terrible. It wont be over in 10 hours due to replaying of levels for completions stats, which for me get kind of dumb and just based on time and patience. Lots of dumb pick-ups and lots of timed runs which amount to memorizing the level and rolling passed everything. I did enjoy my time. Im not going to say too bad games like this arent made anymore, but it was good to play and now finely retire. Im nearly done it so wanted to get my thoughts about while they were fresh and I go put the finishing touches on this 100%. Thanks for reading.

It's a fun top down action game featuring Lara. It even has a Couch Coop and is not too complicated or too hard - so I can play with wife and kids, too :D

A very fun, short and challenging game. It took some time to get into it and feel motivated to continue, but as you keep playing it started to get interesting and it didn't feel like a chore. The challenges are extremely fun to do and rewarding, game can be hard but it's not punishing when failing. Many weapons and relics, artifacts, to collect. Various different enemies and puzzles. The coop mode was surprisingly a lot more fun to play than single player, really fun and recommended to play with a friend.

Amazing coop puzzle action. I really hope they make way more of these. Controls are fluid, looks great, and realy fun coop teamplay mechanics too.
