The game is a great! The absurdity is what gets me hooked in the first place. It's really funny. I noticed there's a few typos throughout the game, though. Other than that, flawless.

Kyle is Famous is a minimal text-based CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) game with ridiculous options and absurd stories. To give a short and spoiler-free description of the gameplay: during each playthrough, you have 30 rounds to gather materials before a final event; what (dialogue/action) options are available and what endings can be triggered depend on what you have gathered. One such playthrough takes two or three minutes, depending on your reading speed. At each ending, you can reset to the beginning of the final event, which allows exploring quickly all possible outcomes for the current set of materials. However, there is no manual save during a playthrough; some steps are unavoidably repetitive if you want to explore other setups for the final event. Admittedly, some endings are difficult to trigger without consulting a guide. Personally, I have no qualm about doing so in order to get all 117 endings, since I find the experience particularly rewarding: the endings, each with different gags, are all very amusing to see, some can even be qualified as EPIC. In addition, the recurrent characters have their hidden facets only revealed in a certain ending; traversing all endings gives you a more complete picture of the whole (silly and nonsensical) story. As a bonus, using a guide (e.g. one from the Steam Community) also minimises repetitive steps. In summary, Kyle is Famous is one of the most hilarious games I have ever played; I love it. I also appreciate its QoL features that allow me to see all endings relatively painlessly. For example, I applaud the design that the endings are classified into 10+ groups; the key ending of a group permanently unlocks new options leading to the endings of the next group for your future playthroughs. Such gatekeeping progressively opens up the world and keeps players from drowning in the combinatorial explosion, a mentally taxing obstacle that dissuades me from playing many other CYOA games. I strongly recommend it to all players who enjoy funny narrative. However, whether its jokes land for you is rather hard to tell. Thankfully, you can play the Kyle is Famous Free Edition to see if its humour resonates with you. The free edition, effectively serving as a demo, has 20 or so endings from the complete edition, which are quite representative. Buying the complete edition grants you access to 117 endings, cosmetic items (cursors, backgrounds, trails of cursor), and most importantly, the voiceover, which is brilliant. Kyle, you are now truly famous!
