What a neat game! While tower defence is nothing new, Kitchen Crisis takes a different approach to the familiar concept and the end result is refreshing and fun. Your chefs are tasked with what is essentially ammo production, your 'towers' only fire if a chef has slapped a sandwich into it to 'feed' the passing enemies. As the enemies ramp up, you need more sandwiches, and tastier sandwiches. This is turn leads to a space/efficiency battle as you expand your cooking area to increase production. There are multiple chefs to unlock, and they vary widely in both style and challenge. While there is a need to shake off bad habits from other tower defence games, once you get the hang of how production works and what upgrade options are available to you completing all the maps isn't too tough. Doing those same maps again on the Alpha Plus chef, however, is much more difficult. That's an example of the replayability the game offers, a hunt for 3* results on all the maps and characters is sure to keep a player going and the game is enjoyable enough to want to pursue those challenges. Once you're through the regular stages, Chaos mode awaits. I really recommend this to anyone who likes tower defence games, cool indie ideas, and a decent challenge. If you think Bloons is easy baby game, try this instead!

An enjoyable tower defense game with excellent music and style. Gameplay has some depth but may not be the most balanced/complex, using only a very small selection of ingredients and cooking methods offered I was able to beat all but the last 3 levels before needing to alter my strategy (the Canes Chicken Method). A solid recommend if it goes on sale, its a little too expensive at its current price point.

basically the same game loop, very fun to play when you wanna turn your brain off and feed some aliens before being isekai back into your world. 10/10

This hits the Factorio-automation-cramming meets Tower Defense niche very well. Big fan, looking forward to their next title. I will denote that the playtime is maybe 35 hours to beat all the content. Two achievements could use some editing, one calls for spending 100 million coins, while the other calls for 1000 consumables used. I spent maybe 8 million gold and used about 200 consumables by the time I finished all of the levels. Maybe a zero should be taken off each of those?

Listen, This game is worth the money. There is a reason why most reviewers have played for hours and hours. Its because this game is genuinely fun and makes you think. People may dislike some aspects of it because it may seem difficult at times, but that is exactly why it is fun. When you figure out how to beat a level it feels awesome. This isn't like typical tower defence games where you make your towers so OP every level is easy. You have to be strategic. So bravo developers. Keep going! I just wished the mix reviews were more fair. You guys know you had fun playing this, why downvote it after so long. Thats not cool. Anyway, I got my money's worth thats for sure. 20 bucks for 55 hours is 0.36 cents an hour lol. I had fun!
