It's a decent way to spend a couple hours, but it doesn't compare to the older games in the series. If you've never played any King's Quest games, this might be a good starting point to let you know what the games are like, mechanically. Then, if you like the playstyle, you can get the other games, which I think have more heart, if less polish. If you're a fan of the older KQ games, pick this up on sale for a nostalgia hit, but don't expect it to recapture the magic.

King's Quest 2015 is a certified masterpiece. Even though it ha some weak moments in it's 5 episode run, it still has the puzzles, laughs, and story to hook players and give them a game they will never forget. A must play game in my opinion.

This game knows its audience well. It honors the tradition of King's Quest, without being held back by the baggage. It's full of heart and top-notch point-and-click adventuring. Thanks to the devs who showed this series so much reverence!

If you played the original King's Quest games and are interested in a very casual gaming experience with lots of fan hommage, play this game! If you've never played king's quest, at least watch a humerous walk through of the first ever King's Quest before buying this game. The later chapters are half as long as the first chapter, but they add the ability to skip videos and eventually get more linear (single playthrough) achievements.
