I hate this game for my love to it... here what I mean: I love this game so much that I decided to get all achievements, but it is not an easy task at all especially when you have to play all over again for 40 minutes to get back after the death. But it is still one of my favorite survival/strategy/tower defense hybrid. :)

Kingdom: New Lands is not as refined as Kingdom: Two Crowns but it is still a fun game to play on its own. It's only missing a few features from the later entries but what is present in the game is the addictive formula from every game that has you saying "just one more day". If you want to experience a more limited play style as well as a bit of a harder challenge and you already played everything in Two Crowns and every other game, then I recommend playing this entry so you can experience what the game was right before they fined tuned everything. As I said, this game is still just as good and slightly more difficult, so its worth playing through it if you're a fan of the kingdom franchise. After all, there wouldn't be a Two Crowns if it wasn't for New Lands.

this game is oddly addicting. yeah there's a lot to gripe about but over all it's a great time sink. once you get the flow it's a great chill game to throw on a podcast too and just zone out and world conquer.

First of all, I love all of the games in this series, that being said this is the one Ive played the most. This game is very calming and relaxing to me, The art style is very beautiful and there is something homey and comforting to it. The gameplay itself is fairly easy until you reach higher levels which come in the form of days survived. The game can get challenging but for the most part this game is one I love to play when a have some time to kill. I highly recommend this game if you like castle/defender games and like the screenshots of the game.

THE UNIQUES: πŸ’Ž It's simple in terms of minimum controls. πŸ’Ž This used to be a flash game on Newgrounds! PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS: πŸ’Ό Side Scroller. πŸ’Ό Tower Defence. πŸ’Ό Pixel. PROS: + So much is achieved with just 3 keys to operate the game, that honestly blew my mind! + Building up a little kingdom and moving on once you've built your boat (There's so many wooden boards!) + Don't be fooled by it's pixel graphics, it's strangely beautiful, especially with the red moon eclipse. CONS: - There's no real guide on how to beat this game unless you search for it online, a little guidance on how things work, goes a long way. - The NPC's are dumb as fuck! Especially the recruitment, Jesus.... RUN to the village instead of walking like you're on a nice stroll. - It get's seriously repetitive after the second island, it doesn't help that losing your crown restarts your whole progress. VERDICT: Before I get into this, let me tell you that there's a newer and better version of this called Kingdom: Two Crowns which is so much better than this one, it's exactly the same but with better mechanics and it can be played in co-op which makes things faster and a hell of a lot easier. This game gave me mixed feeling, did I enjoy my playthrough? Hell no! Why am I giving it a positive review? It's fun as hell! It's a strange feeling until you play it for yourself and it'll give you the same emotions as myself, the one thing that annoys me the most is this game is exactly the same as it's previous and newer title, just with better instalments, the more I speak about this game the more I feel I should give this a negative, but I won't because I'm a fan of these type of games, take it as a bias review, because it probably is but I can't help but tell you that it deserves at least a few hours of gameplay. Total Score = 60/100. GAMEPLAY: New Lands is similar to the original game in terms of a monarch trying to establish a long-lasting kingdom while being attacked by otherworldly monsters. However, the Monarch begins shipwrecked on an island, and has the goal of sailing away to a different island before getting overrun. β– β– β– β– β– β– β–‘β–‘β–‘β–‘ 6 / 10 The crown is safe, my ass! RECOMMEDED SPECS It'll run on anything.
