This game looks like shit. The UI is shit, it looks like 2005 even though it's a 2016 game, and it makes you download 60 Gb of shitty cosmetics (it used to be a 30 Gb download when it came out, not 90 Gb). It's obviously been coded with their arses and even the server browser looks and behaves like 1999 Gamespy (pretty sure The All Seeing Eye was more advanced). So why the thumbs up ? Because it's fun. Been playing it on the regular for a couple months with my best friends and it's just real good fun. The gameplay is good. Not revolutionary, but good. It's sound, it works. The perks (classes) and their various passive skills are fun, each perks' weapons range from good to absolutely silly, and there's even a bit of challenge if you want some. We all hate the Matriarch. Push past the ugly package and the humongous download, and get it on sale. Get your pyro or medic to level 25. Try out those weapons, especially those that look silly at first glance. You'll not regret it.

Hi mercenaries! It's been a 1000 hours since I discovered this game! It's time to finally write a review after 5 years :) And I have accumulated so much and even more that cannot be described in words. I've been dreaming of playing KF2 since the beta, but I only got around to it only in 2019. And I have no regrets! I had no idea that this game would turn out to be so cool and so much better than I could ever expected. I felt a resonance with the game right away, I was hooked! The game is simple, it's a wave shooter in which we need to kill a bunch of monsters with a bunch of guns. But there was something beyond that attracted me. Thats the strong atmosphere, for some reason few people say that KF2 simply has an amazing atmosphere around everything that happens. The places, design, the richness, colorfulness and the riot that happens create such a harmonious and explosive picture! When there's a ZedTime and the details stand out in red against the gray, it looks stylish! The game has its own cool and fashionable style, its a pure pleasure and beauty! This game brought me so many vivid emotions and feelings that there's simply not enough time to list them all. From the moment you get to know the game, its structure, classes, maps, zeds, teamwork, exploration of the area to choose a position for defending... One of the main features of the game is just an awesome feeling from weapons and shooting, hitting targets! Arms, legs, heads, guts, body parts fall off and tear like a knife cuts butter... Seeing how the map is painted in a bloody crimson color is simply a delight for the eyes and soul! Fun is guaranteed! And exploring maps is very interesting, they are all different saturated and fantastically beautiful, because maps also tell us the history of the world! However, there's another side of this game, which I discovered when I started listening to my music while playing it. The game has a plot (yes, many people donโ€™t know about it) and even if it's not so deep far developed, it has amazing aspects of important topics in the world, these are technological progress and its price, greed, hypocrisy, profit, deception, rivalry, ways of human development, politics, science, learning and much more other. And I see uniqueness in all of this. If we compare it with Resident Evil, the situation is very different here I see something also unique - the creation of completely new artificial organisms. Can you imagine how cool this is? And Zeds are not mindless creatures, they have a certain intelligence and know how to group, surround, and some even sneak up and drive into a trap. All of them put pressure on people with unimaginable force. And this topic interests me very much, because in addition to genetic engineering, people have the opportunity to improve themselves, vision, implants and even things like cloning and much more! Just unbelieveble! The game raises very important topics about our future, because people are always afraid of new things, including technologies, what will they bring to us? Is technological progress inevitable or is it a choice...? I'm in love with many characters, HorZine history, and their mysterioius goals, their bright and modern futuristic propaganda posters, screens... I want to know so much more about it, i feel huge potential of story development, that i even want to share my point of view about all of this. I adore this universe and have many ideas and stories created! But I would like to say that the game opened up for me in a completely new way at one point. At first, I played for a long time on Hard difficulty and didn't go higher, since it was still tough for me. And I remember that time when I went to Suicidal... After that I only played on it and after on Hell on Earth. Team play has never been more enjoyable and fun! The game has turned from a shooter into a survival game in which you need to know and understand how to act, otherwise you will be eaten in seconds. Teamwork is crucial! I discovered the Medic class and fell in love with it so much, the thought that I was helping my comrades and doing well made me so happy! And time went so fast as I played more and more, gaining experience and knowledge. (My first best class was support :3) As a result, after hundreds of hours of fun, many game updates, unfortunately activity has dropped significantly over the years. Some say that there are not enough other updates, not only maps and constant new paid weapons, but also a revision of what the players have been asking for. Others want new weeklys, development of other abandoned forgot game modes, like versus survival, objective and many other things. However, this doesn't change the essence, the game remains as amazing as it was and even got better! However, there are such big technical problems. The launcher takes a long time to launch and the game often crashes or sometimes you click connect to the server and nothing happens. You have to create a singleplayer game and try again and much more. Little things like this make it a little difficult for me as a player to fully enjoy the game. But in general the game doesn't change at all, though unfortunately online suffers, which is sad. But this game wont die :) To sum it up, you must try this legendary game because such feelings of quality action, fun and teamwork cannot be found everywhere! And its deep dark captivating surroundings... It'll blow up your mind! Try it, have fun, enjoy. And I will spend more hundreds of hours in this wonderful bloody stylish world and i'll look forward to the release of Killing Floor 3, where I hope developers will listen more to the players and avoid many mistakes of the past, so good luck to them in this and to you players in the game with much love! P.S KF1 impressed me no less, Iโ€™m just starting to get acquainted with it (i played it ages ago but was a fearful kid xD), but these two parts are so different and at the same time similar. There are simply no such games anymore, the Killing Floor has no competitors here! This series is undoubtedly Legendary! And im in love with it till my last breath, it gave so much more i prefer to keep for myself, heheh <3 <3 <3 P.S.S It may sound weird and strange but around all of this gore, blood, fights i found serenity, calmness, contemplation, pleasure that cannot be described, heh words are not enough... :D

Fantastic community of players. Overall great vibes all around slaying zombies. some people could use a reality check being so anal over a co-op game but they're a minority.
