It's not horrible, it's pretty laggy in VR which is what I play with so slightly annoying. The most annoying thing about this game is the low grip on exit, I can't speak much on owner karting irl but in the rental karts I drive in real life I get a lot more grip on exit. I did find that tuning each kart a little bit made it slightly better, also each kart you upgrade to is way easier to control than the last so I suggest spending a day or 2 learning the beginner kart to the point where you can somewhat race against the ai and then try the X30 and then the KZ2 after that. Those 2 problems are the only I've really ran into while playing, the tracks are good, minus the curb on the exit of turn 6 on PFI, it always yanks me to the left when I use it and its quite annoying. All in all I'd give it a solid 6.5/10.

As of February 10th, 2025, the servers are up, and you can log in to the game without any issues. A workaround for low FPS is to type "-EnableGRPC=false" in the launch options (without quotes). The game itself isn't bad and can be quite entertaining. KK has a solid foundation with 5 classes of carts and around 10 laser-scanned tracks that you can race on with AI. It would be awesome if another developer bought the project and continued its development. KK usually doesn't go on sale (the studio has shut down), so it's up to you whether you want to buy it at full price or not.

KartKraft is a great sim... it's too bad there is no online racing support. It would be awesome if there was a modding community for it like Asseto Corsa It is still worth the price. I have a blast driving it.

Great game, id say its pretty realistic but id like to see the lo206 and clone engines added, maybe even oval karts so all karters have their karts to drive.
