Kikka story caught me by surprise, it made me cry a bit. Very emotional and text can't properly express the experience. Game's very good. 8/10 for me, maybe 7.5. Diverse romance cast and a bit funny game, a fun ride. Game is mostly what you would expect from these kind of VNs. Nothing too special. Though Kikka had a surprisingly emotional story. Ritsu is my personal favorite character, but i also like the Kuudere, and Riri is so hot and caring, and you might like Hibiki for her cheerfulness or the sporty Kaido. You might like some routes more than others, maybe you want to speedrun one and thats fine. Though overall the game is what you would expect, and that's fine because that's what we're here for. Note, please get the patch, game is pure mid without it

Oh Kakenuke. Unusual impressions from this visual novel. Who would have thought that the sister's route would be the best of the usual routes? And who would have thought that in second place among them is route of the most irritating character (Hibiki)? The other three usual routes are boring to death - there is no plot, there is too little comedy. Mostly only boring romance was in them. Well that and also the hobbies of the girl. I had to force myself to read these three routes. And these three bad routes I read first! So, because of that my opinion about vn was bad. After I read the sister’s route and the Hibiki route, my opinion improved a little. But overall, I still considered Kakenuke pretty weak. And then the final route. It brought me to tears. It was amazing feeling. But there's still a lot to find fault with in this route. After all, it's a moege by nature. And I didn't expect that the ending would affect me so much. It's thanks to this ending that I'm writing this positive review. Most of all, I love vns that bring me to tears. But my overall score of Kakenuke will still be relatively low and the least of such tearjerker vns I expirienced. Maybe I would seriously advise people to skip three out of six routes. And I'm usually one to get on people's cases about reading things to completion.

A very fun moege title overall. If you like moege, you will enjoy Kakenuke. This title is rather "standard," as in it follows the moege formula perfectly and doesn't stray too far from it, playing it generally safe throughout the entire game. Standard is not necessarily a bad thing, although I expect most people to classify this title as one created by the same company behind Kinkoi, so if you're expecting a Kinkoi-level story from this, you may be a bit disappointed. Take away the comparison, and Kakenuke is still a solid title on its own. At its core, Kakenuke deals with the cast living their "youth" to the fullest and enjoy themselves. From that, you will think Kakenuke will be a generally chill and slice-of-life centric title, which is pretty much true. A few heroine routes you deal with a singular plot point to help the heroine out from their "problems," while Hibiki's route you will see the cast live out their youth to the fullest during summer vacation. I like how in her route, the cast takes part in several activities together as a group, which is the entire point of the VN and its theme, so I thought that Hibiki's route was perfect in how it compliments the overall theme of the VN. Without getting into spoilers, the two shorter routes were very good as those routes dealt with some important plot points while keeping the spirit of the them of the VN, youth. This was nice to see, as generally a side/short route in a moege were very minimal in plot. My only complaint with Kakenuke is how the VN had this tendency to 'skip/gloss' over certain events. It's hard to explain but there were several times throughout the story where some events that happens in the game are instantly over through a time skip, and we only learn what happens in scenes afterwards where a character briefly summarize what happens. This is probably a minor complaint and did not take away the enjoyment for me, but it did break the flow for me a bit sometimes. Overall, I recommend if you're an avid moege fan. Thank you sagapla.

Kakenuke is a simple kinetic visual novel all about enjoying your younger years to their fullest, but only if you have six girls and a gay man swooning over you my dear Sasuke. All jokes aside Kakenuke was a simple and cute slice of life read, and all the characters were adorable in their own way, except for the Alabama route, I will never approve of that route unless its with the aunt. Although the routes were mostly all plain and simple they were sweet to read, and each of the heroines had their own personal character growth through out their route. Riri's route was by far the cutest and sweetest and I loved how her character was potrayed while reading through, I almost got diabetus from how sweet it was. Kikka's route at the end of the game on the other hand was by far and large the best route hands down. Not only was she given more than one personality trait, but I loved how they introduced more about her through out the route and even built up on her character as a whole rather than just giving her character development and calling it a day like with the others. I really felt for her as a character and her overall story really shined the brightest. Kikka is definitely one of my favorite heroines out of all the VNs I have currently read. Shiori's route definitely showed her gaining the most character growth and development overall, and it was great reading and seeign her change, and grow as a character. The rest of the routes though I feel mostly neutral about them. The girls are sweet and their routes were a fun read, but that was about it for me. The art and music for Kakenuke is great and I enjoyed every bit of the soundtrack, and artwork throughout the novel. Overall I fully recommend Kakenuke even at its full price because it is really well made, and there is plently of reading to be had.

I had a fun time reading this. Not quite as good as Sagaplanet's other work "Kinkoi" but it's still solid. Art, music, and characters are all top notch. For $30 you get 30-45 hours of content which is a great deal imo. Highly recommend buying this, though make sure you get the 18 patch off NekoNyan's site for some extra plot :P
