Best go game there is on Steam currently, including an actual career in leagues. The only drawback is that the difficulty in dan ranks is insanely artificial. The AI plays like it has strategy and understanding of the game of a 10kyu with the counting of a 9 dan. Other than that, this is an absolute must play, if you're into go.

I love it! I am a mid-kyu player (perhaps 10k) who is experiencing a reawakening interest in Go after not having played for a while. I like to study as well as play and this Just Go is just magnificent. I have stepped through some of the life and death problems and it is just so nice to play them out. It goes at a gentle pace but it goes a long way - the later problems are definitely for strong players. And I recognise all the same lessons that you might learn from classic books on Go - The Fundamentals of Go by Kageyama or Cho Chikun's Encyclopedia of Life and Death. And, I love the career mode! It's only a fiction but I am genuinely excited to play my next match in the fictional career ladder against my next fictional opponent. It's a game that enriches the game. Everything about it is great, including the music. Very respectful to Go tradition and including famous games from history is a great gift. This is truly the best one-stop-shop for Go I have encountered.

The best way to play Go online. This reminds me of Taking lessons in the late 90s. It has a great career mode, you can choose the size of the board. The ambiance is good and calming, the sound effects are minimal, but they are well done. The AI has various levels based on your in-game rank, there are vs AI tournaments and a training mode. It even includes the ability to view various matches from elite professional players, which is an amazingly helpful tool in learning advanced techniques.

The main reason I purchased the game was because I heard good things about the tutorials. The tutorials in Just Go are fantastic. I've tried learning the game from multiple apps and none of them can explain the rules in a way that makes sense nor clarify why the rules function the way they do. Just Go takes the time to explain every concept, provide interactive examples, and does it in a way that makes sense. I now understand how the game works and the gameplay naturally allows me to evaluate my moves, and how to improve for the next game. Highly recommend!

Proper strategy game. Do some of the puzzles first to understand the basics and some strategies and then start the games. Try and finish them, even if it looks like you are losing.
